Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Boxer.

After listening I would say folk rock, not metal.

More like early Fleetwood Mac meets The Scorpions rebooted into the 2010,s.

Whatever Anna Murphy can surely sing.
Nutty.

Unfortunately Qobuz only has that album and her latest Wild, in its catalog.

😕😕😕
The Dirty Truth ... Joanne Shaw Taylor.

Great British blues woman imho.

Qobuz.

This is the Sound ...Cellar Darlings.

Stellar album imho.
Genre is described as folk metal!
Qobuz
Am I the Enemy ... The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

These guys do not get the airtime they deserve imho. Our very local hometown heroes being from Middleburg just 5 miles away.

Caught them on their 10th anniversary tour where they just played their entire first album in album order.
Tight!

Earlier you asked what Codeine Velvet Club sounded like.

Now I listen again it is very similar to Manic Street Preachers with The Anchoress on vocals.

Not sure if that helps anymore than The Fratellis... Lol.
Ocean Avenue …. Yellowcard.

Another "hometown heroes" band.
Even though they only garnered acclaim and success after their move to California these guys originated here in Jacksonville and played their final live show right here as well.
Lives in the balance .... Jackson Browne.

CD.

Still digging the sq through the cec player and the $1 or less cds available.
Heck yes!

Just found this on Qobuz.

Slayed ....   Slade.

A True blast from my English past!

Between these, Sweet, Gary Glitter etc the English " Top of the Pops" was ruled!

You had to be there!
Can't get a good handle on Wilco Tbh, tried but just does not move me.

Certified Live ... Dave Mason.

Fabulous SQ on this $1double album!
Bluorion.

I think you will find there are not too many judgemental souls post on these music threads.

Cant speak for some of the more contentious equipment threads though...
Lynyrd Skynyrd ... Gold & Platinum.

Reel 2 Reel 7.5ips.

Sweet analog tape sound.
Dougsat.

Sitting looking at Certified Live Dave Mason in the vinyl pile ready to spin tonight.

New Miserable Experience ... Gin Blossoms.

Another of my Secondspin.com buys Boxer.
Like new for $1.29 I think.
There is a member regularly plugs Disco Biscuits on my Streaming thread.
Plugs their live on YouTube shows maybe once a month.

Not bad really would you agree Boxer.
Boxer

Qobuz describe them as a Jam-Trance- Fusion band...... Whatever the heck that means.... Lol.

But yes mostly a live jam band since the 90,s and just 3 CD releases I think.
Great pick Boxer!

Love that one!

On now, old school...

Monster ... Steppenwolf

R2R through a tube buffer, awesome!
Boxer, never heard it but.... Up for a challenge!

Now....

Naturally ... Three Dog Night.

R2R
Something a little different for me.

Mozart's Musical Masterpieces.

CD

Had to buy it at 50 cents.....
@n80.
Sorry I promise it will not happen again!

😂😂😂😂

Is this better.

Vivid ... Living Colour.

CD
I have that one Greg and agreed Riverside Av and Riding the Storm are classic and far removed from their chart driven power pop of the late 80,s and 90,s.
