Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Thanks for the Intel on Godsmack. Its not my primary spinner, however I have an Oppo BDP105D for HDCD, SACD etc. My system is 2 channel only. I think I’ll pick up the Godsmack, thanks for the plug!

Mr. Mister, Go On. Good recording! A little off my usual path... also one track from Welcome to the real world, "Kyrie". Well produced and caught some radio play.

Wishbone Ash, Just Testing and No Smoke Without Fire. Oldies but goodies. Redbook, not the best with regard to low frequency energy.

Styx, Crystal Ball. I love the first track. "Put Me On".

Aranda, Stop the world. Straight forward Rock band from Oklahoma. "Hey Sally" is pretty cool. So is "Break Away" and "The Rest of my Life".

Concrete Blonde, Bloodletting. Poor sonics on my copy but an excellent disc and haunting vocals. I've read the album is recorded much better.

The Blues Travelers, Four, excellent harmonica on the Totems!

grevory_57, jafant,

I also enjoy Sting’s solo efforts post Police. I encourage you to listen to some of Andy Summers solo projects. ghosthouse turned me into a fan of his work.
The Last Dance of Mr. X and Earth + Sky are very good recordings.

Today I binged on Jeff Lynne's ELO. Everything I could find in the rack.

Thanks for dropping that very thorough musical perspective! The Carpenters disc’(s) I spun didn’t have "Superstar" on them so I had to go find it. Wonderful song! There actually my wife’s collection. A beautiful voice and tragic story. Though only Redbook and not the best recordings, but her voice sounds amazing on the Forest Signatures!

Re Toto, I really like a lot of their music. Hydra has some great songs also. "Mama" "White Sister". And I agree, Toto IV was snappy!

I’m all over the map today. Right now, Cheap Trick, Heaven Tonight
