Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Not a huge fan, but stumbled across Springsteen's, Darkness on the Edge of Town.
One of his best, IMHO. Very raw.

We were just another band out of Boston, on the road and trying to make ends meet!
Professor Tom Scholz!

pops,

As I stated, I'm not a big Boss fan. However Darkness on the Edge of Town is raw.
He pours his guts out on that albumn.

uberwaltz,

Gotcha - The Boss is not everybody's cup.

N
ps,

No pun intended. Ted Nugent's Free For All is a Platinum selling albumn. Terrible Ted plays some great guitar. Perhaps you are confusing my hunger for Ted as a taste for Meatloaf. Nope! Released in 1976, it's a great recording, IMO, Opinions very.

Michael Sweet, One Sided War

uberwaltz,

Revisited Dream Theater's Awake- it featured John Petrucci’s use of a seven-string guitar for the first time, establishing a more riff-based writing style. It also was keyboardist Kevin Moore’s second and last albumn with DT.

Today, listened to an excellent disc - Fates Warning, Disconnected featuring Kevin Moore on keyboards.

Incubus, Morning View, CD

Avenged Sevenfold, S/T. CD How great is "Acid Rain"?!!

uberwaltz, great score on Queen! One of my top 20 bands. I saw them with
Freddie M. in Cincinnati. Probably the best live show of my lifetime. "Sleeping On The Sidewalk" from News of the World. Never played on the radio, great song.

slaw, I’ve got several Collective Soul on Disc. Those guys are rock stars! Not many people give them enough credibility, IMO.

N

ghosthouse,

Your previous post was inspiring. They don't write em' like that anymore. I'm going back to pull your recommendations from our earlier discussion and give them my full attention.

Slaw,
Sorry for the delayed reply. I concur,  Boz Scaggs laid down the original "Loan me a dime". ghosthouse and I were also compairing the two versions in a PM. We agreed the original including Duane Allman was the better.

Live, The Distance to here.
Wow, Edward Kowalczykz, what can you say.
Jack White, Blunderbuss

Jack was a headliner at this past weekends Bunbury Music Festival in Cincinnati.
Monday Jack was presented the key to the City by Mayor John Cranley. Jack also visited King Records tracing the footsteps of James Brown.
