Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Moxy were a band I started listening to right at the time of my American rock band discovery time from good old England back in mid 70,s.

Along with Styx, Rush, Mahogany Rush, Starz etc.
Not sure as I own any but pretty sure our LRS has a few albums.
What I love about these posts
Always finding something new or never heard of or simply reminded about a great band.
Just so much music and so little time!

Never heard of Sniff,n the Tears but will be checking it out.
Thx

That's a pretty neat album to have, imagine getting anything like that today!

Just curious as to how you are ripping your vinyl to your server?

A great day to visit my LRS.
He had just finished throwing a ton of albums into the $1 clearance boxes and there were a LOT of really good albums.

I was good and limited myself to just 20, LOL.
$20 and 20 new to me records to work through.
It's a great weekend!
B,S &T 4 .... Blood, Sweat & Tears.

Vinyl

This one needs a bit of help, definitely a $1 album!

Sounds like you have that process down to a fine "art".
I guess I am old and lazy but sounds like a lot of work, maybe not once you have done it a few times and it is second nature.
My daughter has a tt with a USB output as well and I was considering trying to rip some vinyl, which is why I asked. Software is the key it appears.

Never had a decent Goodwill vinyl purchase yet I am afraid.

Glad you found the channel hiatus fairly quickly and easily, that can drive you nuts!
Had to buy it when I saw this gem sitting in the $1 box.

Putting it Straight ... Pat Travers

Vinyl
@shadorne

I completely agree on Freeways, I mean it's fine just different, I only bought it as it was just $1!.

Next up was going to be Not Fragile which is in another category altogether!

Will get round to that later today.
Hard Labour ... Three Dog Night.

Another $1 purchase on vinyl.

I have to say after thoroughly cleaning all of these $1 records yesterday ( the B,S&T just was awful!). I am very pleasantly surprised at how tick and pop free they have come out.

A truly good weekend.
Need to get some Moody Blues on vinyl for sure!
Thx for the reminder.

Don't Say No ... Billy Squier.

$1 vinyl
Come Clean ... Puddle of Mudd.

This has one of my fave all time songs on it.  ... Blurry.

CD.
An album I never tire of, has something for every mood.

August and Everything .. Counting Crows

CD in the car
N80
I know, lol, Alabama might not see much play tbh.
It was part of the lot of $1 each vinyl I recently purchased.
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!
Synchronicity ... The Police.

Cassette via Nakamichi BX300 on second system

Superb recording on factory Chrome tape.
Head First .. Uriah Heep

Vinyl, original 1983 gold stamp Mercury pressing, absolutely mint condition!
Just to enter into the "spirit" of things tonight.
Ol Pumpkin Head himself.

Metal Jukebox ... Helloween.

Tidal

Probably going to have a few disagree with me here but I still find this to be one of my favorite Journey albums.

Raised on Radio.

$1 vinyl
Back to normal programming....

Just done the WalMart run, zzzzzzz
But wandered into the cd section which gets smaller every day!
Had a sale on ( not sure if a fire sale!).
Picked up 3 cd,s at $3 each, cannot complain

So first up

El Camino... The Black Keys.
David
+1 on Tinsley Ellis.

Boxer
+1 on the Adrian (Andrew....lol) Belew choices including Bears.
Audioman58.

Would that be Jeff Beck, Rock and Roll Party?

It's only thing I can find as tribute to Las Paul.

Giving it a whirl on Tidal next.

Thank you
B,S&T 4 ... Blood, Sweat and Tears.

Sounding much better than first time I tried to play it. Gave all of my $1 record buys a darn good cleaning, just shows what you can rescue, as long as not badly scratched most of the dirt can be cleaned out.
Zenyatta Mondatta ... The Police

Yes I played this not long ago but this is vinyl and the SQ is palpably better than red book CD, no contest!
@reubent

That's too funny.... The only vinyl I have is Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush Live, circa late1970,S as it was in my college years!
Just had a long weekend on St.Simons island Georgia, not where you expect to find some good oldie vinyl but.....

There was an antique fair and one guy had maybe 3 boxes of vinyl at $5 each or 3 for 10. Quite a bit of what I term junk but enough gems for me to buy 6 at $20.

Will be starting on them after they have dried from a deep cleaning!
