Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Gregory_57. Fantastic album by Patti Smith!

Fired up the CD player tonight!

The Other Side .. Godsmack
SACD
Another LRS day.

Kookoo ... Debbie Harry

Solo album from the 80,s while taking a break from Blondie.
Wow, a real blast from the past there Nutty with U.K.
Great British prog rock supergroup.
I have their debut st album but not Danger Money.
Very nice!
3 new albums in the mail today, quite a few dollars worth as I try and complete my Magnum analog collection.

First up
The 13th Day .. Magnum

Ltd edition 180g orange vinyl.
@reubent

Just send that raggedy old U.K album my way. I have a good home for it.

☺☺☺
Even though some were not impressed. LOL.
A trip to the LRS got me not one but both U.K albums on vinyl and pristine.

Life is good.
Another classic that I managed to obtain on vinyl today.

Heartbeat City ... The Cars.
@reubent .

It was just by chance I went to the LRS today and wandered into the prog rock section and spied the pair.

However I do appreciate your gesture, guess it will just have to gather dust on your shelves for now.
Open Fire ... Y&T.

One of the better "hair bands" imho.

Summertime Girls is hilarious if you have ever seen the video to it.

Vinyl
Danny Joe Brown and the Danny Joe Brown Band.

I have had this record in my eBay watch list for months but could not bring myself to pay what they were asking.

Then at the LRS today I spied it at half the price... Done deal!
Btw reubent, the Danger Money album is a lot more coherent , musical and focused than the s/t U.K album is.
Just my opinion of course....
World Anthem .. Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush.

Very underrated guitarist imho

Tidal
Nutty.
Some great British 80,s bands along the lines of Crowded House.

Tears for fears, Talk Talk, Simple Minds, The Thompson Twins , Ultravox, the Police.
To name just a few.....
Nutty.
And I am huge Marillion fan! Love Fish to death!

Funny but true story.

We were going to a Marillion concert in England in the 80,s sometime.
Walking down a dark alley to the club it was in. Saw this hulking figure walking towards us in army fatigues and blacked out face.
We pooped our pants as we thought we were goners!
As he got closer we saw it was Fish himself.
We all laughed so hard when we explained, the thought of him being terrifying had never even occurred to him as he was dressed as he would be for "Forgotten Sons".

And yes it was a great show!
Just for you Nutty, well for me too.

Real to Reel .. Marillion.

Vinyl, Dutch Pressing

For me Market Square Heroes is their best live song ever. Its just so upbeat and gets the crowd going every time, you can’t help but boogie in place to that synth lick!
Trip to the LRS today yielded a real oddity that I just had to buy.

Its a 3 l.p. box set by capitol records.

"The significant works of a perceptively creative musical era."

3 lps

The Steve Miller Band
The Band
Quicksilver Messanger Service.

Anybody seen this set before?
Boxer12

I will be spinning vinyl tonight so they will be first up!

Right now another righteous buy.

Ten Summoners Tales ... Sting.

Brand new sealed cassette for $2 ...lol
And the sq is really nice, its a chrome tape and Sting does know a thing or two about recording!

I agree, all albums you can obviously buy seperately but I am sure they would cost more that way.

And at least this is also something pretty unique.
Jon Troast is pretty decent fare too.
Only heard his G ep but quite impressive.
