Puffball,

I agree, Tortoise is a great band. I see you're a John Cale fan as well! I'm hoping at some point "Hobo Sapiens" is released on vinyl.

I sincerely hope everyone enjoyed their thanksgiving! It was wonderful over here with the family. Lots to be grateful for!

My Bloody Valentine / MBV

Thanks Brian

Jim, Steve,

I’ve never used Corian in this application, but it has impressed me under components, so we’ll see (fingers crossed)...

Psychic Temple / Houses of the holy

Bit the bullet & bought a new Tonearm. It’s a "Thales Easy" and is scheduled for delivery on Monday. Pretty excited about this (!) & will be setting up the table for it this weekend.

That is a big list JIM!

Magik Markers / Balf Quarry

Spencer, Jim, Steve,

Thank you, I'm getting excited to set it up. Started machining a new arm board (out of Corian) for the tonearm tower... Should be interesting

The Magic Carpathians / Carpathicus

Thanks Dan, Will do.

Liars / Apple drop

One of the nicest looking albums I've ever seen. In fact, I'd wear a shirt with that design on it... but I'm kinda weird that way 😁

Pretty cool you were able to pick up your old friends album Brian

Silver Mt. Zion / This is our punk rock

Brian,

I am not familiar with them but just did a little research. What a catalog of albums they have! Think I'll give "Everclear" a try. Thanks

Silver Mt. Zion / 13 blues

LOL emailists! Welcome to the forum

Joel, Nice find! Enjoy the "new" albums

Tom,

Good for you! I need to do the same

All,

They delivered the tone arm today. This thing is insanely good. But... We all know about first impressions, so it will be a while before I do a mini review. It's new anyway so there will be some changes (probably good) in the next 50 hours or so.

Very stoked!

Jerusalem in my heart / Qalaq

Hey Dan,

Yes, the Corian board is installed. My first impression of this arm is very positive but I’m going to hold off on a mini review until I get some more hours on it. I want to wait until the "newness" wears off a bit, & the actual wire in the tonearm is broken in. FWIW, this is the simplest arm I've ever set up. The template supplied with the arm is first rate.

Spellling / Turning wheel

Those are beautiful speakers Joel! I've read some good things about them but have never heard them.

Can / Future days

Can / Tago mago

FWIW, This is one of the coolest album covers I own, along with "Steven Wilson's Hand .Cannot. Erase", & "Bardo Pond's Dilate". Love the art.

Brian, I was listening to that "Porcelain Raft" album last week. Love it.

Grateful Dead / Terrapin station
