Slaw I think part of the problem is they squeezed so much music onto a single side. Hence no dynamics or life, simply because there was not enough groove room to cut it.
It really needed to be a double album |
Mwinkc.
I'm lucky if I can get the year right and you have the month and date down pat?
I need to eat more ๐ |
And Then There Were Three .... Genesis.
Eek!
SQ is pretty lousy on this copy, very tilted up in the treble , thin and bass is just boomy, not defined at all.
Don't remember even the CD sounding this bad. Into the charity pile it will go. |
@slawย
I believe And Then There Were Three is screaming out for a double album 180g remaster! |
@noromanceย . Pros and cons and Radio K.A.O.S are my favorite Waters albums. Never liked Amused as to my ears it's more a collection of special effects than a cohesive musical outing.
I know I am in the vast minority in that opinion though.
Another very memorable live experience for myself was Floyd performing the original stage show of The Wall. Hammersmith Odeon , London, 1978? Minds a bit hazy on years nowadays. Lol. |
Spirit. i would never argue with anyone here about music because itโs all just personal opinions. if we all liked the same stuff it would be very boring.
Some great tunes being played tonight. Fraid I got to tired to spin records so moved onto Qobuz
Playing a lot of new to me prog rock and really enjoying it. Some bands just in case anybody heard them.
Magic Pie, The Pineapple Thief, Comedy of Errors, The Tangent, Blackfield Have a good night everyone |
Incognito ... Spyro Gyra.
Ah, SQ is restored!
Does not matter whether you like these guys or not, I have not heard one bad record SQ wise...and I own plenty. |
|
Good times indeed Mwinkc!
I am obviously a little younger as my heyday of live concerts was 1977 through about 1982 ( marriage, kids, life, the normal bs...lol). Remember them all but dates and even years are a little fuzzy, not sure if that's an effect of those days or just old age making its presence known! |
Slaw, Tomic
I am fairly sure that most new posters get welcomed or acknowledged by somebody or another and encouraged.
|
|
Back in the High Life...... ย Steve Winwood.
Very nicely recorded. |
Trust ..... Elvis Costelloย |
True Colours.......Split Enz |
Tomic.
Where is Ghost streaming? I do not see it on Qobuz. |
Tomic. It most certainly does indeed! How all records should have been made.... Lol.
If we fail to get older and collect more aches and pains....well it's pretty dire if you cease getting older TBH โน๏ธ |
Looks like for now I will have to try Ghosts on Spotify Thanks all.
|
Thank the lord the USPS is still delivering! 3 fixes in the mail today.
Love Over Gold And two brand new albums by Spocks Beard, both include the album on CD as well so they will be ripped and added to the NAS. Double score imho.
One or more will be up later.
|
Journey to the Rainbow .... Chuck Mangione. |
Spirit I know brother I probably did not word my last post very well Be safe!
|
Tomic No just the original 33usa release.

Noise Floor ...... Spockโs Beard.
Outstanding! |
Bob.
I only have a couple of 45 so no dedicated tt. My 401 switches instantly between speeds
Greg. That sounds like a wicked combo indeed. |
Quite an eclectic collection Reubent! Enjoy. |
Bob at one stage I had a Dual 1209 I think it was. it was a tall spindle stack changer anyway. never got round to getting any 45singles so ended up selling it at a loss ... lol. |
I start with the @ย Usually then there will appear a drop down with names in it, I type in the first letter, then second and so on until I see the member I want to address.
Now when it does not show a members name in that drop down is when the tagging does not work. However I have no idea why some members names would NOT show in the dropdown but it happens a fair bit tbh
|
For example Spirit. I just checked and your member name did not appear in my dropdown so the tagging would not work for you from me.
Maybe email support here at the Gon and see if they know why?
|
Somebody's Watching .... Rare Bird. |
Nicks25.
I am over the moon tbh. I thought the Maggieโs were good, and they were, but these spatial m3 are just another 2 or 3 levels up. Imaging is spot on and the soundscape is immense. So yes, a very happy camper indeed. |
Hey nicks25, nice to see you here.
Just picked up a Jackson Browne album couple minutes ago to play next so.....
Lawyers in Love .... Jackson Browne |
Speedy Gonzalez has nothing on me! ๐๐๐๐ |
The Jimi Hendrix Experience Purple Velvet Box Set

Nice tunes there for sure!
|
Tomic Thanks, now just have to wait for Qobuz to catch up...lol
|
Welcome gguy.
Which Tool album may I ask? |
Greg Think it was Slaw who asked about the arm my friend! |
Whaaaaaatttttt!
I resemble that remark.
Head Hunters is one of my test albums Greg, good stuff! |
Brujo...... New Riders of the Purple Sage.
Freshly US cleaned. |
Third Degree ...... Flying Colorsย |
Thanks gguy767.
I got your message and it appeared fine on the forum.
Great album and I think my daughter had it on vinyl. I only have it on CD. |
Tomic Ooh a hamster wheel... That sounds so interesting ๐
You are a gentleman re. The mono albums ๐๐ |
Sorry Tomic but if we all look alike I am afraid you just gained 40lb! ๐๐๐๐ |
The Jimi Hendrix Experience Purple Velvet Box Set record #3. |
Tbh I am now 3 records into the Hendrix Purple Velvet Box Set and I am not particularly impressed so far.
The upside is they are now selling for way more than I paid for it so there is that to be said...... |
