@bdp24 - Perfect Waves was very good, really fantastic. I've always liked the slow version of "Forever Young" and every other cut on the album was also enjoyable. This record will go into my regular rotation.....
@drrsutliff  - I had that record in my hand last night, then decided on a different direction....

Jeff Beck with Jan Hammer Group - “Live”
@bdp24 - I wasn't quite sure what to expect from Self Portrait. I received it as a gift from my wife in a small lot of records she bought at an auction. I wasn't familiar with it and did a Google Search before listening to it. Interesting read about the album on Wiki. I did enjoy it on first listen. Enough that I'll give it another spin soon.

Next up from the gift lot.........

Bob Dylan w/The Band - "Planet Waves"
Lee Moses - "Time and Place" - Wow, fantastic funk/soul/R&B record from 1971. Heard it playing in my LRS today when I stopped in to check the newly stocked used record bins. Unfortunately clean originals are hundreds of dollars, but it's been recently reissued. I bought the reissue......
Elvis Costello and the Attractions - "Imperial Bedroom" - In prep for seeing the Elvis Costello and the Attractions "Imperial Bedroom and Other Chambers" tour in July.
@bdp24 - I love Nick Lowe and I've always like the whole "The Rose of England" album. I just saw Nick Lowe a few months ago, but it was a solo show. Really fantastic. Would love to see him backed by Los Straight Jackets. BTW, I just missed Loss Straight Jackets as the backing band for Marshall Crenshaw at a local show last week :~(
Just back from the record store with the following:

Jimmy Smith - Plain Talk
BoDeans - Love & Hope & Sex & Dreams
Joni Mitchell - Don Juan's Reckless Daughter

First up..........

Jimmy Smith
@shadorne - Yep, Steve Ferrone is an impeccable drummer. He's played with lots of great artist over the years. Always good........
Jefferson Airplane - "Surrealistic Pillow" 2013 re-issue on pink swirl vinyl. Good stuff......
Charles Bradley - "Victim of Love". If you like real soul music, Charles Bradley is the deal....
I'm in the music room cleaning records I've purchased over the last couple of weeks. Listening to records as I go. On the TT right now.....

Jimmy Smith - "Plain Talk"
@slaw @nkonor - Yep, I have a copy of the MFSL mono SP on loan from a friend. It is excellent!
Big Brother and the Holding Company - "Cheap Thrills" MFSL 45 RPM Gain 2 Ultra Analog

Friggin' awesome. Approved by Hell's Angels - Frisco. 'nuff said....
@slaw - That's awesome. I don't actually own either one. The MFSL is on loan from a buddy. I'll keep an eye out for an original, but I'm guessing nice copies are getting pretty expensive....
Jackson Browne - "Running on Empty"

Still incredible, all these years later.......
@bobedwards101  - Welcome to AudiogoN. And Welcome to the "What's on Your Turntable Tonight?" thread. Keep 'em coming........
@slaw - As a matter-o-fact, I do have Glen Hansard - "It was a Triumph We Once Proposed" songs of Jason Molina.
@tomic601  - Only 8.257? Well, SQ isn't everything. The music counts for something too....

BTW, One of my favorite albums. Maybe Desert Island Stuff for me.
