Jim,
That is great news! Glad you've healed up!

Avey Tare / Eucalyptus
Avey was the founding member of the band "Animal Collective".
Trembling Bells / Wide majestic aire
This is a very good folk band (with an Irish slant) for any that are interested.
Thanks for the folk suggestion noromance! That is where I generally live when not listening to other weird sh*t :-)

High Places / Original colors
I for one, can hardly wait Big Greg :-)

Six Organs Of Admittance / Burning the threshold
The Smiths / Meat is murder
This one is a classic. Many years ago, I was listening to it very loud with headphones on while in a hotel room in Tianjin China (we were starting a plant there at the time) & was smoking a fat Cuban cigar.  When it came to a quiet portion in the album I heard all this commotion outside my room. It was the hotel staff... Apparently I set off the hotel fire alarm with my cigar & they were on their way in to put it out. LOL.
Wilco / Kicking television
It has been mentioned here before but is worth revisiting... This is an excellent live box set from Wilco. Sound quality is wonderful as well
+1 for:
The sweet spot... MyMats is two.

FWIW:
I have a lot of experience with dampening materials. I've used both the Michael Percy & Parts Connexion variety (as well as sorbothane but I don't recommend that). Both Percy's & Part Connexion dampening sheets are effective. The stereo rack I had prior to my current one was .5" plate steel (not ideal BTW) & had those sheets on both sides. It worked well. I've also dampened many a chassis with the parts connexion sheets. They both do what they are designed to do.
I wish you all the best getting it straightened out Mammothguy

Beth Gibbons / Out of season
