@slaw
Today, it is only about remembering all those we lost, both here and abroad, and their family and friends.
My cousin used to live in a loft on Duane St., just a few blocks north of the WTC. He watched it all unfold on the roof of his loft. Interesting, I had just spent a week at his Catskills ‘second home’ just south of Woodstock the week prior. Luckily, he was able to talk a cop into allowing him to cross the bridge and leave Manhattan to go to his Catskills home a day or so later. In general, and oddly, they weren’t letting anyone leave Manhattan at the time. Talking to him about that day is chilling.

Thank you Steve, and you do the same.
Some of the past needs to be dwelled upon. I believe this is one of those days. |

Jim, you are finally spinning vinyl? Fantastic. |
Well, the Browns broke my heart today. Thought they had the win today in very tough surroundings on the road in KC. But, not to be at the end.
So, after watching all the post game ‘stuff’ I could, it’s time to sooth my soul with music.

Lush - Ciao! Best Of Lush. 4AD 2LP gatefold 2015 UK release
Been eyeing Lush’s early LP’s, (which I only have on cassette), but they are incredibly expensive, and then saw this ‘best of’ release for a very reasonable amount, and jumped on it. |

Looking forward to this, I loved this album when released, but never bought it.

@noromance Anyone know where @uberwaltz is gone? Not sure he has gone anywhere, just took a break from the 'gon'. At least that is what he stated when I contacted him a week or so after he 'disapeard'. I did see him selling off some of his gear on US Audio Mart a couple/few months ago, stating he was 'sticking with vinyl'. That said, I think the Avid was sold, the Rega I believe was up for sale, but not the Garrard. His Nak deck was up for sale, but then seemingly pulled (I thought about contacting Kevin about that), and some of his HT speakers and equipment. Thats all I know. |
@noromance @bkeske Thanks man. Didn't he buy a The Gate? Glad he's keeping the 401! Yea, he did buy The Gate, a picture of it may still be on his systems page. |

No. 3 was so enjoyable from the last box, as it was a real departure from his first two, I decided to keep it going…
|
@j_husker @bkeske I suspect Rough Mix didn’t disappoint on vinyl. No, it did not. Thanks. Sounded really good. I literally had not heard that album since 1978, and incredibly, I remembered each song. Liked it then, like it even more now. |
