The Mars Volta - S/T 2022

Again! I think I've probably listened to it about 10 times now. Took me a while to warm up to it, but now I think it's brilliant.

Joan Osborne - "Trouble and Strife"

Arrived today! Thanks USPS. Bought this 2020 LP after hearing her sing several songs off of this album at her live show in Cincinnati last Saturday Night.

Good album and a great show, IMHO.

@bkeske - Brian, it's pretty good. Well worth the sub - $30 price I paid for a new copy from an eBay seller.

Just arrived. Thanks USPS!

@big_greg  - No idea why, but "Never Been Any Reason" has been playing in my head for the last two days.

Supertramp - "Brother Where You Bound"

A seriously good sounding record.

Supertramp - "... Famous last words ..."

Going into the "to trade" pile...

Heaven 17 - S/T

New copy came in the mail today (thanks USPS) to replace my old copy which has a nasty warp. Thankfully the new (used) copy is much flatter.

I haven't really put much thought into this, but this might be my favorite '80's New Wave album. Don't hold me to it, might change tomorrow...

@bigtwin

The Steve Miller Band - "Bingo!"

That's a good album. Probably not well know as it was released well past his peak popularity. Certainly worth a listen. I only have it on CD.

Jimbo Mathus and the Tri-State Coalition - "White Buffalo"

Real, authentic, music.

The Mars Volta - S/T

So good! Definitely one of the best of 2022. The more I listen, the more I like it...

Willie Nelson - "Willie and Family Live"

What a hoot! Really great album, by a master, at the top of his form.

@jdougs  - I don't listen to much country music (I do listen to a lot of Americana), but I've also always really liked "Willie and Family Live". What a great performance, and it's unmistakably Willie. The "Red Headed Stranger Suite" is probably my favorite.
