Feels cheated of a great story.......

Lol.

No worries my friend,I am sure you have already berated yourself repeatedly if it was a self inflicted accident.

As long as you are ok and can still spin Vinyl the world will still revolve.
I will still work my way through them all but I suspect I will never open the box again.... lol.
If my memory serves me correctlyĀ
record #1 was not bad.
record #2+3 not very impressedĀ
record #4 better.again though it is mostly the actual material that I was underwhelmed with.
i guess it helps to be a Hendrix fan.....
Slaw
I honestly do not think I own a single Stones album that I would rate as good SQ.
Maybe I just bought all the bad ones... Lol.
Fine Young Cannibals S/T.

Playing on the SL-10 linear tracker cw new Nagaoka p mount cartridge.
Not many choices left for new p mounts.
About closest experience to a CD player there is, lol.
This thing is reputed to play just as well standing vertical, not that I have tried that.
Bit tilted up at the top end and a tad shy in the bass department but the Cart was only $55 imported from HK off ebay.
Well we both know I definitely have a highly optimised setup......

šŸ˜‰šŸ˜‰

However you are likely right on the Stones though......
50 minutes?
That long??
Have you always cleaned that long a cycle?

I settled on 22 minutes at 42 C.

Maybe I need run longer?
Slaw
My opinions of the sides are more based on the fact that to myself most of records 2+3 sound/feel more like outtakes.
Record #4 had a lot more musicality and cohesiveness to it.
imhoĀ

Hey I might love it by time I get to record #8!
lol
Tomic
The better half has been working 12 hour days last few weeks looking after her patients who are all over 87.
She is beat every night.
Not sure how she does it. I don't think I could.

I even learned how the oven works.....
Got some new stuff cooking in the US cleaner right now.
Will spin them later.
Too darn hot too early here.
96 yesterday and likely same today!
Yuk!!

Yes basements are allowed in Florida, we call them swimming pools!.
šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜
With such a low water table most attempts at going below ground just end up a water problem.
And yes 96 is no fun at all but worst part it's not even April yet!
I should be where my daughter is, Hawaii, nearly 73 to 75 year round, perfect.

And I LOVE the Cadenza Black but I had to take it off.
Simply because it is on loan and do not want to add to the hours on it.
It would be nice to have for sure though!
Excellent review Slaw!

Not sure exactly what my copy of Fragile is besides pretty old and rather worn.
Still plays well to my ears though.

Right now.

Stratosfear .... Tangerine Dream.

With the Karat Ruby back in play.

My reality check is Progency: Highlights from 72 by Yes.
At times it sounds like it was recorded in mono, very very analog .
Everything is just right, nothing jumps out, just clear and correct.
A great set IMHO.
Tomic
i never need a reason or excuse to upgrade... lol.

Steve
Man that sucks.
So sorry brother.
Hope everything will work out in the end.

I upped my us clean time to 40 minutes at 43 degrees.
First one fresh from the tank sounds remarkably good.
Thanks!

Hifijunky

Probably one of the all time great system discs and outright sonic treats
Great stuff!
Slaw.
My rotisserie is set up for 5 albums.
This gave a space less than 1" apart.
I decreased to 3 albums which gave a space of approx 1&1/3" apart.
Recently I reduced to just 2 albums on it which gives just over 2" between them.
I'm getting there brother!
šŸ˜‡šŸ˜‡
LMAO, so sorry to disappoint you...

Dude, with a Project Debut Carbon, you're only in the first circle of hell. 8 more to go!

This......

Next thing you know you will be looking at $3k carts like they are candy.....

I have not had opportunity to compare my 401 against a real High end belt drive so it's difficult to say more.

But I just love the dynamics and sheer scale of music the 401 makes.

Now some less charitable members will declare my idea of dynamics and power is just colouration from the idler rumble.

And they could be right.....
All I know is what I hear and like and enjoy in my room.

Slaw and Tomic will have much more input on great belt drive decks.
Thanks Mwinkc.

Yes it is rather special!

Right now.

Get The Knack ... The Knack.
Just ordered a few Mono albums from Carolina Soul, Slaw.

I hear you Brian.
Heck I was using a pair of Maggie's that cost me the grand sum of $450 simply because they sounded better than anything else I had tried at 10x price even!

Anybody who knows me even slightly, knows I prize vfm very highly!
Blackfield V.

It is every bit as good as I hoped for sonically.

Might have to look for a few more 45rpm albumsĀ
I walked past blood on the tracks at the lrs today.
no idea what version but it was used and $18 so?

I passed it up in favour of a Peter Green album instead .
Rock a Little .... Stevie Nick's.

I have no idea why I have never listened to this album of hers before??

It rocks a lot!!
