Getz/Gilberto - S/T - new Acoustic Sounds Series 33rpm - sound quality is excellent, vinyl is good, not great a little bit of groove noise but otherwise pretty nice
REM - Fables of the Reconstruction - pristine original pressing - no low end to speak of but what a great record
Jerry Lee Lewis - Killer Country (not the greatest hits record) - OP sounds very very good
Otis Redding - Otis Blue - AP 45rpm 200g - fantastic

Radiohead - I Might be Wrong
Kenny Burrell - Midnight Blue - AP 45rpm 200g stereo - very good
I am glad that none of you guys suffer from this affliction but this is my 4th copy of this record, I have older pressings in stereo and mono, a Classic Records 200g mono reissue and now this AP. The AP is the best of the bunch and will keep me from looking at old Blue Note crazy priced first pressings... probably...
@uberwaltz ha, that is funny, I have a guy that makes recommendations at my fav record store. Phenomenal selections most of the time but while he is  really good to my ears he is brutal on my wallet
Kings of Leon - Aha Shake Heartbreak - much better than the pressing for Youth and Manhood, which sounds like @ss
Lou Donaldson - Blues Walk - Music Matters SRX vinyl - so great and the bongos and congas come straight out at ya.
Shelly Manne/Bill Evans - Empathy - Analogue Productions 45rpm 200g Verve reissue - unbelievably stellar
So for more in depth comments... I have ironically listened to Heartbreaker and Live at CH a bunch lately by Ryan Adams. At the time Heartbreaker came out I was so enamored with Trace by Son Volt that I didn't think Heartbreaker was half the album and didn't give it a lot of air, and I always like Uncle Tupelo more than Whiskeytown. But I have grown to appreciate Heartbreaker more lately and that stint at CH was a great live run
@slaw yep, I am definitely a Mac fan. Couple of reasons. I like it and I think they make great stuff, it is beautiful and it retains its value. I HATE depreciating assets. Hate. Hate. Doesn't matter what it is, it bugs the f#&=@k out of me to think something just shrinking in value over time even when it is well maintained. I just sold the C47 (which I had for 3 years or so) for $500 more than I paid for it (used) and same for the MC352 in literally 1 day on CL. There is lots of foofoo stuff out there and I am sure some sounds better than Mac but it plummets in value and is hard to sell if you wanna upgrade.
That is my 2 cents.
No, C-sharp on sys 1 and Rega RP8 on sys 2. I like them both but likely the C-sharp a bit more
@slaw never answered your question from last night.
Yes, I have the second system where I want it (but that is the lie we all tell ourselves, right?
Rega RP8 with Apheta 2 cart
McIntosh C50 pre (the Altecs like a bit of EQ)
McIntosh MC7270 amp
Altec Model 19s
System 1 just got a significant upgrade as well
Mc C47 pre to Mc C2500 tube preamp
Mc MC352 to MC462 amp
EAT C-sharp table
B&W 802s
Both systems sound awesome so I have a hard time figuring out which room to go to, I am on S1 currently
The drums and bass are just awesome on Gish, they come out really well on vinyl
@slaw nice! I think this 40th anniversary edition is my 5th copy of PW but I don't have the MFSL version. How was it? I do have a first pressing and the AP 200g version (which is excellent)
I must have listened to this record 500 times in 1980.
New (to me) tube preamp and amp sound killer with this record
Hey, Slaw. I knew of Kayak but didn't really know them well.

Rush - Permanent Waves 40th anniversary box set - LOUD - man this pressing is very good but this makes me feel old as I bought this record the day it came out originally.
Playing some well known titles to test out some new gear and determine improvements

Miles Someday My Prince Will Come

Dire Straits - Communique - Mofi 45rpm - so awesome I just ordered a backup copy, mine is mint but I never want to be without this record

Dire Straits - Love Over Gold - Mofi 45rpm -  excellent
@bocer12 it is not my favorite of theirs but I like it a lot and the SQ is way better than some of their others. I am a big MM fan

Miles Davis - In a Silent Way - Mofi - love this record
Finishing Modest Mouse - Moon and Antarctica - 10th anniversary vinyl - the SQ is very very good
Modest Mouse - The Moon and Antarctica - 10th anniversary vinyl edition, SQ and dynamics are excellent, vinyl quality is OK
Testing out some new gear with

Smashing Pumpkins - Gish
Cachiato - S/T - Awesome
Dave Brubeck - Time Further Out - Impex
Bob Marley - Catch a Fire - from box set - excellent
Muddy Waters - Folk Singer - Analogue Productions 33rpm 200g - one of the best records I own - stellar in every way
Kenny Burrell - Introducing Kenny Burrell - Tone Poet Blue Note - excellent

Rolling Stones - Some Girls - new half-speed mastered reissue - better than Sticky Fingers but still not great
Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers - new reissue half speed mastered - frankly disappointed - sounds flat

+1 on Communique @big_greg
