I could put on my copy of "Rough Mix" and be cool like you guys. But I had something else on my mind before I checked the thread. Maybe tomorrow...

In the meantime, back to my original plan...

Rush - "Signals"
@boxer12  - Thanks for the vote of confidence. I can rest easy now, knowing I've still got it!
For you guys in the PNW...

Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio - "Live at KEXP"

I think Delvon is a Seattle guy. I've seen him a couple of times here in Cincinnati at Plaid Room Records. The owners of Plaid Room Records are Bob and Terry Cole. Terry Cole is also the owner of Colemine Records, who released the Delvon Lamarr records. Colemine does a lot of soul, roots, non-mainstream R&B and Indie stuff. Love Delvon Lamarr. Seems like a great guy. Got to talk with him a bit last time he was here. And Bob and Terry Cole, Colemine and Plaid Room are top notch.

Go see Delvon Lamarr at your local haughts, or wherever you see them playing. Fun stuff.

About my last pick - Yes - "Going For the One", I’ve always liked the music, especially "Parallels". But I’ve always felt the sound quality is a jumbled mess. Spent the big bucks ($50, what can I say, I'm frugal) for the Japanese pressing, hoping for the best SQ. It is only marginally better than my original US copy.
Anyone in the mood to buy LPs this weekend? Plaid Room Records is having a 15% off sale. Starts Friday for in store purchases of new and used records. On-line 15% sales starts Sunday evening at 6 PM EDT.

This is a public service announcement...
@j_husker  - Good luck on the surgery.

@slaw  - Steve, enjoy "One for the Road". I love the live version of "Celluloid Heroes" from that album. Great stuff. Right on the heels of their hugely popular "Low Budget" album.
@big_greg  - Man, you must really like "Armed Forces" (I do too). Once you grade all of your 5 copies, are you going to keep them all, or are you going to sell/trade some of them? I mean, you can only list to one at a time... :~)

I've tried to whittle down to only 1 or 2 copies of any individual record. Really prefer to only have my one best copy. I'm self-limited to about 800 LPs of storage in my listening room. I'm at the point now where I have to remove/sell/trade current inventory in order to make room for new acquisitions. Or stick them in the overflow boxes back in the storage room...
The Dave Brubeck Quartet - "Time Out"

From the year of my birth. Still Crazy After All These Years.......
@jafant  - I'm a huge fan of Paul Young. Yes, I know a lot of it was pretty pop'y. But Man! What a voice....
@pops  - +1 for Screaming Trees. “Sweet Oblivion"

Good One. Played it many times over the years, especially back when it first came out. I love "Dollar Bill" and "Nearly Lost You". Strong grunge...
You guys are on a roll tonight.....

Alison Moyet - "Alf" - Hells yeah!
"Dreamboat Annie" - Dream on!
The Smithereens / Especially For You - Especially for me? ! Heck yeah!

Great stuff guys....

Some Friday Night Jams with my teenage son...

Head East - "Flat as a Pancake"
Nilsson - "Schmilsson"
Ned's Atomic Dustbin - "God Fodder"

@spiritofradio  - You're Welcome! That's what it's all about. Sharing our love of music...
Son Volt - "Electro Melodier"

Played it via Spotify, but posted here since I have a vinyl copy on order...

Also ordered a copy of Screaming Trees - "Sweet Oblivion" tonight.
@spiritofradio  -
I saw screaming trees once on a bill with Soul Asylum and Spin Doctors

Dang, That would have been quite a lineup in their heyday. I would have gone to that one with you...
@big_greg  - I'm going to see Elvis Costello again on 10/16. It's a brand new concert venue here in Cincinnati and I was fortunate to get pre-sale tickets, 4th row center. Can't wait! I've seen him a few times and it's always been great.
Pat Metheny - "American Garage" - my original 1979 ECM that I bought when it came out while I was in college.
@sourpuss123  -  Jimmy Smith and Wes Montgomery / The Dynamic Duo

+1 - Great album!
I really like Jeff Beck's - "Loud Hailer". I've been enjoying it since it came out in 2017. The closing cut - "Shrine" is a GREAT closing tune. Any time you finish an album with a big smile on your face, you know the artist did something right. As "Shine" ended with Jeff Beck's simple guitar fade out, I had a huge uncontrollable grin on my face. Well done Jeff Beck...
@skyscraper - Enjoy it. Let me know if "Shrine" left you with a smile on your face.
It's almost midnight here and I'm burning the......

Midnight Oil - "Diesel and Dust"
@slaw - I always liked  Led Zeppelin - "Presence". Love the opener - "Achilles Last Stand". Thanks for the reminder. Listening to it now.
@slaw  - Hey Steve, which version of "Fair and Square" did you buy? I think I'll pick up one.
@slaw  @tomic601

Steve, Jim,

I think "Fair and Square" is my favorite John Prine album. I was fortunate to see his tour supporting that record. It was a fantastic show. Wish I had it on vinyl. Maybe I'll add it to my Christmas list...
Dan Fogelberg - "High Country Snows"

Saw it mentioned recently. Thanks for the reminder @nicks25 . Got my nice NM- copy at the beginning of 2020 in the great 8 for $1 inventory reduction sale at a LRS. Pretty darn good, especially for 12 cents...
Courtney Barnett - "Tell Me How You Really Feel"

I wonder if I'm the first person in history to play Dan Fogelberg - "High Country Snows" followed by Courtney Barnett -  "Tell Me How You Really Feel"... on Red Vinyl... on a Red Pro-Ject Turntable...
