@boxer12, @bkeske,

I hadn’t listened to that Kingfish LP since, I don’t remember when! This thread is a lot of fun!
@spiritofradio
BJH caused a kerfluffle with their song Poor Man’s Moody Blues, gotta like ‘em for that.

Deodado /  Very Together

Tropea / untitled
Funny you mentioned Iron Butterfly, they were on the bill with Uriah Heep. Probably need to play Ball before the night’s over now.
Yes, I like the Hammond! Lots of bands back then used it, then along came the MOOG. Uriah Heep had one cranked up so loud at a concert my ears weren’t happy afterwards but that spinning horn was almost hypnotic.
Also like GFR Closer To Home, it has I’m Your Captain/Closer To Home on it. But Phoenix is my favorite. Back in the day when band members liked to pose with their shirts off. LOL

Gregg Allman /  Laid Back
Thanks @slaw, Name Of The Game is one of my favorite Badfinger songs and Hoffs/Mann did it well. Got me thinking Bangles now!

Bangles / Different Light
@slaw
No but I will, I like those two.

Traffic / Shoot Out At The FantasyFactiry
Diving into Jeff Wayne’s The Musical Version of WAR Of The WORLDS double LP tonight in anticipation of a small Halloween gathering next weekend when guests may be shocked by the sonics as well as the terrifying story. That said, probably won’t need to sleep with a light on tonight. But so far, my ears are happy.
@slaw
I swear I wasn’t eavesdropping! :-)
Lately I’ve been randomly pulling LPs from the rack and I’m glad that one came out, I’d forgotten how much I like it. My copy’s a little noisy, bought new in ‘72. I like the bands back then with the Hammond organ. Argent’s another.
@boxer12
Just received another Terry Allen album (fresh off the porch)...
Terry Allen / Lubbock (on everything)

Nice score! Was that a discogs, reissue, or? Thanks…

Ian Lloyd & Stories / Traveling Underground

Deep Purple / Shades Of Deep Purple
Jim Carroll Band / Catholic Boy

The Crusaders / Chain Reaction

I don’t remember who posted Terry Allen / Just Like Moby Dick, but thank you!
@spiritofradio @bkeske
Charo And The Salsoul Orchestra song titled You’re Just The Right Size…LOL
The look on my wife’s face when I played it, double LOL.

+100 4 Jules and the bears

Lol, a high mileage LP since 1978…
Tonio K. / Life In The Food Chain

Jules and The Polar Bears / got no breeding
+1 on Dig, love the bass on Thanks To You.

EL VY / Return To The Moon
Great sounding LP, could be a demo disk.
@sourpuss123
That
sounds like a nice compilation. Good score for $2, cheap even for ‘71 dollars.

The Headboys / The Headboys
@slaw,

Oops, poor punctuation.
Gossip is the Paul Kelly and The Messengers LP’s title.
P.S. Thanks for the VS page comment!

Roger Waters "Amused To Death" Analogue Productions/QRP issue.
+1

Overplaying these 2 Paul’s lately…
Paul McCartney and Wings, Wings At The Speed of Sound
Paul Kelly and The Messengers, Gossip
@slaw  “Imagine”

A friend, huge Lennon fan bought custom plates for his car, 6 letters/numbers max in OR. When his wife saw them, she said No Way, No How!
IMAGYN
Lol!
FedEx today, new arrivals. I check you guys’ recommendations a few nights a week, thought I’d throw something in the mix.
Motown Collected, double white vinyl. Cool songs, mostly ‘60’s stuff. A few take me back to am radio days. Some good selections here.
The Blue Stingrays, Surf And Burn. All instrumental, rumor is the band is Tom Petty Heartbreaker guys that always liked surf music.
I’m not a big Motown or Surf Music fan, just felt like listening to something different for a change. Fun stuff!
