bkeske,
Not to muddy the cartridge water anymore but... ebay had a Grado XTZ signature (NOS) a couple weeks ago for around $700. That is a FANTASTIC cartridge. They also had an Empire 4000DIII that looked good for around $600. That is also a great cartridge. They may still be there.
FWIW I've been running both of them (on & off) for the last month or so. On my system the Grado XTZ sounds sublime with the Empire a notch down from that, but still great. The only down side with the Grado is a slight hum. It is not audible from my chair, but it bugs me that it's there at all.

Starlight Mints / Built on squares
Penguin is a great album that doesn't seem to get much attention

Parquet Courts / Wide awake
Slaw,
Check that Low album out if you get a chance. Since you’re a fan of the band, I think you’ll find it pretty interesting. Alan even plays banjo on the last song. Not something I expected from him.

Spectrum / Songs for Owsley
Thanks Tomic

Slaw,
That is a wonderful live recording.

Castanets / Cathedral
Hey Guys,
Trying my best to get my head out of the fog tonight with music. One of my older brothers died very unexpectedly this week of a heart attack. He was 64 and unlike myself, lived a very straight life. My mother is in a nursing home so told her about it on Thursday & have been spending a lot of time with her. She is taking this very hard. Huge loss for the family. Everyone loved him.

Stereolab / Fab four suture
+1 Slaw, That is one of my favorites!

Bob Dylan / Another side of Bob Dylan
+1 for not using a clamp or weight with the MyMat

Pere Ubu / Ray gun suitcase
Bkeske,
If you don't have any of their stuff on vinyl, check out the boxed sets that were released. They are good & not stupid expensive (yet). They are the studio releases (mostly).

Zola Jesus / Okovi
Glad to hear it's coming together well for you Bkeske, enjoy!

HiM / Our point of departure

Just catching up... Wow, you guys have been playing some great music. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Reubent, I lived kind of close to Clemson for a few years in the late 90's. Crazy little town. They seem to like football a little bit...

Blues Control / Valley tangents

Hey Brian (bkeske),

What Lambchop album or albums did you listen too?
