@tomic601  - I gotta say, I enjoyed "Tubular Bells" a lot more than I was expecting. I didn't remember it being so diverse. I kinda remembered it being very one dimensional. It's not.
@spiritofradio  - I had never hear the complete album -  Brewer and Shipley - "Tarkio" or "Tarkio Road" until I found a sealed copy last year in my LRS used record bins for $5.99. Since I was familiar with "One Toke Over the Line", I grabbed it. Turns out to be a really good folks rock album. And my NOS copy sounds fantastic.

@big_greg  - How's the new Elvis Costello album? Was sold out this morning at Plaid Room... I'll probably stream it, then buy it if it's good.

Joe Jackson - Night and Day

Hey Jim. Nice one. I think I'll give it a spin.......

Joe Jackson - "Night and Day"  A&M SP-4906

Answer: "Whatever's Written in Your Heart"

Lyric

Whatever's written in your heart, that's all that matters
You'll find a way to say it all someday (yeah)
Whatever's written in your heart, that's all that matters
Yeah, Night and Day, Night and Day

So, playing  Joe Jackson - "Night and Day" lead me to my next selection......

Gerry Rafferty - "City to City"

Anyone care to guess what lead me from  Joe Jackson - "Night and Day" to Gerry Rafferty - "City to City"?

Holy Cow! That Danny Gatton record is GREAT! Don't necessarily love a couple of the early vocal tracks. They're not bad, and sound great, but they're kind of like 50's/early 60's style. However! Everything else on the record is absolutely smokin'!

If you want to stream something fun, give this one a shot....

Danny and the Fat Boys - "Harlem Nocturne" from the album - "American Music"

The Cranberries - "Everybody Else is Doing It, So Why Can't We?"

RIP Delores O'Riordan

@bdp24  - I've heard of Danny Gatton for years, but don't know that I had ever heard him before. Luckily, I heard "Harlem Nocturne" by Danny and the Fat Boys while streaming Radio Paradise last week. Was literally flabbergasted by the tune and immediately purchased a copy of the album on Discogs. Really great stuff...

Also, curious what you think of Robbie Robertson - S/T. I know you are a big fan (understatement) of The Band. Curious if you like the collaboration with Daniel Lanois and all of the guest artists on the album. Me? I Love it, but I'm a big fan of the Daniel Lanois sound.

David Gray - "White Ladder - Rarities and b-sides" from the 20th anniversary box set.

Listened to this again. I'm a big fan of the original album - White Ladder. The extra material is a nice bonus. Good to hear some David Gray that is not familiar to me. A few of the tracks are pretty darn good...

@sbank

I hope you also have Robbie Robertson – How To Become Clairvoyant.

I do not have it, but it's now on my list...

Thanks!

Glen Hansard - "Drive All Night"

Again! Thanks to @astro58go for recommending this back in 2016.

@sbank  - Hey Spencer, been streaming Robbie Robertson - "How to Become Clairvoyant" and like it pretty well on first listen. Now have a Mint/Sealed copy coming via a Discogs purchase.

Thanks for the recommendation...

@dredison

Listening to New York Stories Vol 1 right now.

Do you have that on vinyl? I don't see a vinyl release on Discogs. I also checked to see if it was on Spotify, but couldn't find it. I do see it on YouTube. Guess I'll stream it through YouTube, then buy it on CD if I love it.

Thanks for the recommendation...

@koogle  - Welcome to the best thread on AudiogoN! Thanks for your response. Keep 'em coming...

Jan Hammer Group - "Oh, Yeah?"

This album is The $chiit... Just sayin'. If you like Jazz/Rock Fusion, this is it.

Supertramp - "Brother Where You Bound"

My favorite Supertramp album, by a good margin. Plays like a concept album. GREAT Sound Quality too...

The Great Culling - Part Deux continues. Building up a pile/crate to take for sale/trade to a couple of LRS.

Joni Mitchell - "Court and Spark"

Asylum EQ-1001 - QUAD!

Love the record, but this copy isn’t doing it for me. THink I’ll dump it and look for a better copy.

The Great Culling - Part Deux continues.....

The Roches - S/T

Into the sell/trade pile it goes. Not sure why I bought this one in the first place, although the song - "Hammond" is pretty catchy. Also don't quite understand why Fripp and Levin were associated with this record. Personal relationships possibly?

Bonnie Raitt - "Home Plate"

On the fence about this one. Haven't listened to it in a very long time. It's better than I remember. That girl can sing, that's for sure. Susan Tedeschi's solo albums remind me of this...

Neil Young - "Harvest"

I have two copies, neither in great condition. One is definitely going in the sell/trade pile. Maybe both...

Traffic - "John Barleycorn Must Die"

Keeper - Back on the shelf when I'm done....
