Dayglow, Looks like it was another great day!

Todd Rundgren / Hermit of mink hollow

Reubent, I have a hard time picking a favorite from this band. Kind of strange because they change their style often. If you get a chance check out their "Trip" album from 2020. They do a wonderful job covering Wilco's song, "reservations".

Lambchop / Nixon

Tomic, I see you played "Oh Mercy" early this morning. That is one of my favorite Dylan albums. I don't think I've ever heard him sing lower than he does in the song "Long Black coat"

Yo La Tengo / Popular songs

Fashion Nugget is on vinyl. I don't remember seeing any of their others on vinyl though.
Slaw, Now I have Eels envy. Don’t have the Eels with strings album :-(

June of 44 / From the fishtank
Anybody else have any of the "From the fishtank" albums? I have 3 (soon to have 4 since I ordered the "Low" album of that series tonight). If not, & you can stream it check them out. The others I have are "Sonic Youth" & "Tortoise". All of them are great & a bit off kilter... just the way I like it.
That is a great album Slaw. Thanks for the "recommendation"

Tomic, LOL

Phish / Story of the ghost
+1 Tomic

Slaw,
You were asking about TT motors a month or so ago & I responded. I changed the motor I was using (Hurst part number LYD55T115DL) for one that came directly from VPI. The VPI motor is also a Hurst (part number is either 3201-001 or 3203-001, you'll have to ask) & is better than the one I was using.

Just letting you know.
Tomic,
The quality of that vinyl was M+. Both albums were very clean. Thanks so much!

Death Vessel / Island Intervals
Tomic,
I had (have) "Apostrophe" on digital & the album you sent me spanks that. I had (have) a newer remastered "Here come the warm jets" album already. It's good to have one that isn't remastered for reference, so I appreciate that as well. One of my favorites from Eno BTW.

The Fiery Furnaces / I'm going away
Steve,
What did you think of Purple Rain? Been a while since I've seen it.

Grails / Redlight

Dan, +1 for "Bufo Alvarius"!

Magik Markers / Surrender to the fantasy

Mark Lanegan / Scraps at midnight

Just installed some new (to me) monoblocks in my system. NuForce Reference 9's (V3 SE) with the TDSS updates. They were well reviewed but really not digging them. I'll put some hours on them & see if they have a future in "Tim land" or not...
Slaw,
If they make the cut they'll replace an Aloia power amp with an induction power supply. That amp is amazing but as heavy as my car (an exaggeration). The NuForce will have to get a hell of a lot better to make the cut.

Uber,
That is what I'm hearing
Soul Coughing / Ruby vroom
I like this band. It reminds me a lot of the band "Cake"
Slaw,
A rough week for sure but we are all doing well. He was a good man & will always be remembered as such. Thanks for asking

Noromance,
Thanks

The Bears / Rise & shine
bkeske,
I'm sure you'll be happy with that SOTA table, congratulations!

Uber, Slaw,
The amps are definite keepers. Very impressed with this design. They have the midrange beauty & soundstage of the Aloia amp with improved bass & upper end transparency.

Sbank, Nice stack!

Steve, Let us know how Calexico "Descamino" is once you get back to listening. Hope all is going well with you!

Joel, Hope you get up & running again soon!
