@tomic601  - Happy New Year!

Jim, I have had a single Magic Brick in use in my system since sometime around 1986. Not sure if it does anything at all, but it's always been a great conversation piece. BTW, I used the brick as a template and cut out a thin piece of felt and glued it onto the bottom of the brick. Prevents any potential scratching of the finish on the top of my amp.
I just finished up Titus Andronicus - "The Monitor". It is definitely not an audiophile record as far as sound quality. The lead singer appears to be completely tone deaf. It's long (double LP). And its a concept album. But I loved it!

If you like punk, Irish sounding guitar riffs, US Civil War History, or concept albums in general. Check it out, via streaming first, before you invest in the LP. The LP does sound a bit better than the Spotify Stream (as it should).

Titus Andronicus Forever! (name of track 2, side 1)
@bkeske  - Thanks for your comments about the Pro-Ject and the MyMat based on your experience. Happy New Year to you and yours.....
@slaw

Steve, I'm a huge fan of Rare Earth. "Ecology" is a great album.....

@tomic601

Tom the Robben Ford blue line is smoking…

Were you already familiar with it, or did you just stream it? Just curious...

Just heard Danny Gatton - Danny and the Fat Boys - "Harlem Nocturne" on Radio Paradise. Immediately went to discogs looking for a copy of the album "American Music". Got one coming from Boops Records.

@spiritofradio - I checked out the Soft Machine album and it did nothing for me. I’m probably a loser.....

I'll check out "Tempest" to see if I can get some mojo back.
@spiritofradio

Make sure to stream Tempest in super delux high res

Can't. I'm a lowly Spotify user. :~(
@almosthome  - Welcome to the "What's on your Turntable Tonight?" thread. Keep 'em coming...
@tomic601  - I have a pair of Infinity Qb's for my backup speakers. Been thinking about a re-build project. Would be good to get them playing better than new.
@boxer12  - I wish your wife a speedy recovery. I hope she is home soon. Good Luck with everything.
@mammothguy54  - I really like -  Jeff Beck with the Jan Hammer Group - "Live". If you like that record, you might like The Jan Hammer Group - "Oh, Yeah?". A fantastic album from that period, IMHO.
@spiritofradio

@reubent that Abercrombie record is mighty nice.

Yes it is! Especially the title track, which is the album closer. One of the best closers ever!
Willie Nelson - "Willie and Family Live"

This is a fantastic record. Great performance and excellent SQ. My favorite Willie record.....
Aaron Parks - "Little Big"

Someone mentioned this album on an AgoN thread and I checked it out via streaming. Liked it and bought the double-LP. Was really looking forward to it. Arrived last evening, but just got a chance to sit down and take a listen this morning.

Maybe for the first time ever, I've got an album that has TOO MUCH bass emphasis. I like the music quite a bit. It's a piano led jazz quartet. However, the bass guitar and bass drum is over-emphasized IMHO.

Anyone else got this record? What are your thoughts.
@mammothguy54  - Joel, Do you have the 2016 Jeff Beck Album - "Loud Hailer"? Curious what you might think of it. If you don't have it, give it a stream before spending money on the vinyl. I like it quite a bit, but it's not your typical Jeff Beck album. He's pretty much providing guitar accompaniment to the singer - Rosie Bones. And, it's definitely a political album, so that might turn some folks off, or not. The 3 slow ones - "Scared for the Children", "Shame" and "Shrine" steal the show IMHO.
Well, ain't that the $hit! A bunch of like minded music fans........ We should hang out sometime.

David Gray - "White Ladder - Rarities and b-sides" from the 20th Anniversary Box Set

@noromance  - I have  that record - Gare Du Nord ‎- "Rendezvous 8:02". I like it quite a bit. Was a recommendation from @abucktwoeighty  I believe. Maybe I'll give it a spin again tomorrow morning.
@big_greg  - I just had "Live at Budokan" in my hand, but chose "Brain Salad Surgery" instead.
Mike Oldfield - "Tubular Bells"

From a crate of recent hand-me-down records from a family friend. Haven't heard this record in a very long time. Fortunately this one is in really good condition.
