Much better!
Mott The Hoople S/T.
Quiet on noise but big on boogie factor! |
@reubent
You would be proud of me! Bit the bullet and been through my records this morning. Culled about 50 lps and 20 CDs to go to my giveaway source. Only about 1900 left now.....😂😂 |
The Unforgettable Fire .... U2.
Was going to turf this but playing it and better than I remember so it stays.
The other 50 I am not even going to look at again...be strong! |
Fortunately the vast bulk of my CD collection is already boxed and in storage in the loft after I ripped them all to a hard drive. Just a few favorites and newer charity shop purchases in view.
But all going to a good cause as if it raises a few dollars for my friend to help pay her bills it's a good thing indeed. 👍 |
Let's Dance ..... David Bowie |
Ok never mind. Wife had not taken the box round yet so did a self dumpster dive and retrieved it. Will give it another spin before deciding. |
The Inside Story ..... Robben Ford.
After culling my collection I felt a little ill so had to visit the LRS for a fix.....
I only bought 8 albums...... |
LMAO I just gave away my copy of Linda's Living in the USA. Was I wrong? |
Noromance. I NEVER have second thoughts... Lol. Once posted for good or bad it stays.
Nobody seems to know where GK went but if he was going overboard maybe the Gon gave him an extended timeout. |
A Song for all Seasons .... Renaissance |
Slaw. Not sure how far you are from Durham but Feb 22nd at the Bluenote , a concert not to be missed.
Ana Popovic.
I hope to be going as it's about 90 minutes from Weldon where I will be working.
Just a FYI 😁 |
And here it is..... 20,000 posts....
🎻🎸😇 |
Brave and Crazy .... Melissa Etheridge |
Let's Dance was/is Bowie's highest selling album at near 11 million sales worldwide.
Seems to me it would be a GREAT candidate for a MFSL release as the SQ is not what you would term stellar on the US release. |
Did anyone ever hear from Spirit again? I did send couple messages but nothing? Hope nothing serious...... |
Seriously? It seems all you have to do is say " Geoff Kait" and your post gets deleted. Interesting..... |
Return to Forever - "No Mystery" (go)
I must have liked this kind of music at one time (late 70’s, early 80’s), but I don’t now.......
Well hallelujah! Nice to know its not just myself after all! |
Maybe Spirit got abducted by some tRump goons in Portland as he was minding his own business...... |
Kiln House ..... Fleetwood Mac |
1039 vinyl and 645 cassette according to my Discogs account.... Lol. Still a few CD's left too. About 300 I think |
Joe Satriani - Joe Satriani (Legacy 2014 RE of 1984) OK I am not infallible. I picked this up last year and have only played it twice. Tonight, after a third play, I discovered it’s actually a 45 EP. Sounded fine @33 |
Stupid browser !
Trying to add onto Noromance quote that it was hilarious.... To me anyway. But what do I know. Been out at work since 3am Mon and got home maybe an hour ago. Pretty sure if I try to play a record I will break something..... Lol So tired....💤 |
Does anyone here know if there is any real recourse to be had from a Discogs purchase? Besides just leaving neg feedback which is pointless as they just do the same right back. Bought a copy of Led Zep 3 that seller described as vg+ for cover and vg for the record. TBH I would be embarrassed to give it away! Cover is possibly good only, lot of marks and stains but the record! Multiple deep heavy scratches and so dirty I doubt 5 passes through the US cleaner would work! Sorry but this will be my last Discogs purchase as at least Fleabay has guaranteed returns.
|
Greg I have been in communication but it has gone south... Lol. Trying to tell me I have no idea how grading works and if anything it is undergraded! Hilarious! They have agreed to take it back though |
Spirit. Valid points on the " must have" records. Which is what this was as never seen LedZep 3 in any LRS so bit the bullet. Then it bit me... Lol.
Always a bad apple somewhere... |
Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars...... David Bowie.
Probably my favorite Bowie album ever. |
Now this one was bought on eBay. Described as NM vinyl and vg+ cover. It's spot on that grading IMHO. Was one of the classic albums I grew up with in my youth so was time to buy again.
Looking out for Schools Out and Billion Dollar Babies next.
|
Welcome to the Real World..... Mr.Mister.
Thx Reubent! |
No romance..... I am sure the feeling is mutual.... 😂 |
Grace Pool S/T.
Never heard of this but cover looked neat.
It's actually pretty darn good! 👍 |
Manifesto ..... Roxy Music.
Thanks Noromance! |
Imaginary Voyage. ... Jean Luc Ponty. |
Head Over Heels .... Headpins. |
Armageddon .... Prism.
Good old pomp rock. |
Tangram .... Tangerine Dream. |
The Danse Society..... S/T |
All Four One .... The Motels. |
Living in the USA ... Linda Ronstadt.
Ok, I guess it was worth retrieving after all. |
Steeltown .... Big Country. |
Hold Out ... Jackson Browne |
Upon The Wings of Music ... Jean Luc Ponty |
Incubus 8.
Hmm, sounds better hires streaming than it does on record. Oh well. |
The Incubus 8 album has gone straight to the top of the "will never play again" pile... lol |
Tomic. Tbh I would not wish it on a friend ... Lol. It's not the songs, it's the SQ, it's awful. |
Looking Thru .... Passport |
Fly By Night ... Rush. Record 2 from the Archives set.
Forgotten just how raw and powerful these older Rush recordings are! |
Rush S/T. Record 1 from Archives set.
Really superb SQ for the age of this album. |
Buddha and the Chocolate Box ... Cat Stevens |
And to finish the Archive set off. Record 3.
Caress of Steel. |
Slaw Heading back to NC on Monday and when I checked weather today I saw it was snowing. If any consolation it's only 37 here in Florida! |
