Michael Jackson / Thriller
1982 Epic
Checking my copy, trying to decide if I want to preorder the Thriller MoFi UltraDisc One Step re-issue. It sounds pretty good so…?

Cream / Disraeli Gears
1967 ATCO
Produced by Felix Pappalardi, who also wrote “Strange Brew” and (a personal fave) “World Of Pain”.

@bdp24

Isn’t the sound quality of the AP Surfer Girl astounding?!

For sure! My copy is also an ultra quiet pressing, no distractions from the great SQ.   It’s such a lovely record. Sadly I can’t say the same about Pet Sounds either.

The Beach Boys / Pet Sounds
2003 Capitol R-I #02926, orig. 1966
Double album, green disc stereo, yellow disc mono.

The Beach Boys / Surfer Girl
2014 Analogue Productions R-I, orig. 1963
Amazing SQ, well done.

Pink Floyd / Dark Side Of The Moon
2003 EMI 30th Anniversary remaster (Holland) orig..1973

Jimi Hendrix Experience / Are You Experienced?
2022 Analogue Productions UNQR #8016, orig. 1967 Track

One of my first record purchases as a kid and long ago worn out through abuse, I have been through several nasty sounding versions reissued both analog and digital. This one finally hits the mark! The imaging is totally 60’s with Hendrix either left of stage or right, like as in concert as a trio. The vinyl is ultra quiet. The final re-issue of AYE for me.

@musicpod I played Pickin’ Up The Pieces recently and your post reminds me to play Legend, I hope to hear what you heard!

Bryan Ferry / Boys and Girls
1985 Warner Bros.

The Doors / The Soft Parade
1969 Elektra

Amazing sonics and imaging on this 50+ year old LP, the title track stands out.

Steve, I finally got around to listening to Israel Nash “Rain Plans”, nice. Thanks!

Nice record Steve!

Rolling Stones / Dirty Work
1986 Rolling Stones Records

Greg, nice finding that Chain Reaction LP, you seem to score often on finding well recorded records. Your LRS sounds like a good one. I don’t listen to my fusion stuff enough but when I do the go-to’s are the Crusaders CR or Tropea. Nice to have a great copy!

The Blue Stingrays / Surf-N-Burn
1997 Epitone

The Heartbreakers play Surf Music. Fun record, great SQ.

The Grip Weeds / Dig
2021 JEM
Nice selection of late 60’s rock covers.

Gregg Allman / Laid Back
2015 Analogue Productiond, orig. 1973 Island
+++++🎶

Jane / Jane At Home Live
1977 Metronome Records German pressing

A nice afternoon spent listening to German band Jane’s Live At Home, all 4 sides. Ripping electric guitar and Hammond organ, they rock. The cover art is Mars shot by the Viking Mars Lander. SQ is average live album level but the music makes up for that.
