Jethro Tull - Aqualung (Steven Wilson remix - so much better than the original)

Steve - that’s what I have been watching on Disney +.  My son has a subscription so I am reaping the benefit.   Over 6 hours in 3 episodes.  I am about half way through.  Sure you will enjoy.  Will be interested to hear your opinion of the dynamics at work.

Thanks for the heads up Steve.  I will be looking for them. Big fan of his.

Enjoy the streaming -  great album.  Not a big fan of the Phil Spector production which is why I purchased the McCartney release.

Warren Zevon - Excitable Boy

Beatles - Let It Be … Naked (wanted to listen as I have been watching the Get Back special on Disney +)

@mammothguy54

An Accuphase stack with the Infinty’s - very nice!   Fun to look back on the components/systems we have owned.

@noromace  There is something to be said for vintage cartridges. That being said, I’ve never really ‘invested’ in a new cartridge so hard for me to compare.

Very fortunate that the Pickering has lots of life left.

Thanks for all the support guys.

This is the best thread on Agon!

Recently purchased a Pickering XSV/4000 on eBay.  Seller advertised as installed on TT of a friend and barley used.  Was able to negotiate price down a bit so took a  chance and purchased.

Since I am not trained in looking at the stylus for wear, I sent to an eBay re-tipper who was highly recommended on AudioKarma.  I wanted him to take a look and to have him re-tip if needed.  He told me it was in great shape and installed on a new Technics head shell. He attached to his Technics and said it sounded fantastic.

Just received back from him today and am ecstatic with the results.   Very pleased that it worked out so well.    An early present for me!

Steely Dan - Katy Lied

@sbank

That’s great to hear.  Tell him the current posters are appreciative of his starting this thread.
@noromance

I’m a real rookie compared to most of you but I really do enjoy.
This thread was started in 2004 and I was curious who might have posted in 2004 who is still posting today (no secret that I’m retired and have time on my hands!).

Anyway, the first post I found was made in August 2004 by @sbank aka Spencer. I stopped after I recognized the first one.

Anyone else been posting to this thread for 17 years?

Way to go Spencer!
