@big_greg - I've always liked Nick Lowe and Nick Lowe and His Cowboy Outfit - "The Rose of England" is still in my semi-regular rotation. Was luck to see Nick Lowe last year doing a solo show. One guy, about 30 songs in rapid-fire succession. It was awesome....
@bdp24 - Thanks for the post about Marty Stuart and Nick Lowe (and their associates). Although they are different genres, a common thread runs through them. Good music is good music. And so much the better when the musicians are top rate.

Curious: Have you listened to Springsteen's - "Western Stars"? It's a different kind of Springsteen record. A good friend, who is a life long Springsteen fan, says it may be his favorite Springsteen record ever.
@slaw - I love "Western Stars". I'm a Springsteen fan and I love good Western music. If you like classic Country Western Songs, like "Gentle on my Mind", "Wichita Lineman" and "Goodtime Charlie's Got the Blues", you'll love it.
Concrete Blonde - "Mexican Moon" - Gonna listen to side one of the double LP, then retire for the night. Got an early morning bike ride and need some good sleep....
Queen - "A Night at the Opera" - 2018 Hollywood Records - Canada - Abbey Road 1/2 Speed Master
Spinning the remainder of Concrete Blonde - "Mexican Moon" that I started last night.
John Hiatt - "Bring the Family"

John Hiatt - Acoustic Guitar and Vocals
Ry Cooder - Electric Guitar
Jim Keltner - Drums
Nick Lowe - Electric Bass

What a lineup!
Elvis Costello and the Imposters - "Momofuku" - Played LP 1, side 1&2 last night. Finishing up with LP 2, sides 3&4 tonight. Then on to something different......
@uberwaltz  - "Surrealistic Pillow is a classic psychedelic rock. Not my favorite genre, but it's a pretty good album. Of Course, "White Rabbit" and "Somebody to Love" were huge hits that have stood the test of time. The remainder of the album is solid. Give it a listen when you get a chance. Let me know what you think.
@slaw - Wish I had seen those Paul McCartney LPs on Insound. Just checked, nothing there now.

Just playing "Monolith" for the first time. So far, so good.......
Just back from my LRS. Picked the following, all used. The most expensive one was $4.99 and they are all very clean.

Paul McCartney and Wings - "Red Rose Speedway"
Kansas - "Monolith"
Moody Blues - "In Search of the Lost Chord"
Pete Townshend and Ronnie Lane - "Rough Mix"

Spinning "Red Rose Speedway" right now and will listen to the others throughout the weekend.
@uberwaltz @slaw - My thoughts on "Rough Mix". Mine is the original US Release - MCA 2295. The sound quality is pretty good, and as a whole I like it quite a bit. However, it does sound a bit dis-jointed. It's like they took some cuts from a Pete Townshend record and some cuts from a Ronnie Lane album and mixed them up on a combo album. Then, at the end, the last cut - "Till the Rivers all Run Dry", doesn't sound like either Pete Townshend, or Ronnie Lane. Regardless, I like it. There are several winners in the mix.
The Midnight Oil record is fantastic. Can't believe I've never heard the whole album before.

@spiritofradio  - Thanks. I believe it is clipping of the vocal and guitar that I'm hearing now that I go back and listen. Thanks for confirming this...

@slaw - Just got home from a week on the road for a business trip to Milwaukee. Fortunately, got to see The Alarm last night in Milwaukee before I headed out of town. Fantastic show.

I'm exhausted. Will be an early night for me.....

BTW, You're on a roll tonight. Manfred Mann, Rush and Glen Hansard. Great stuff....
@uberwaltz  -"I Robot" is such a great album. I hope your new investment delivers an improvement in SQ. My copy is an original, purchased by me at the time of initial release. It's not perfect, but it did survive college pretty well intact.
@rickisme - Welcome to AudiogoN Forum and welcome to the thread. Great album. Did you just buy it? Do you feel it was worth the money for the double LP 45 RPM version?
