Joel, that is the new Rhino release.  Not certain if you can get just the original album.   The alternate takes album/set (one of the cds) is coming out on record store day as a stand alone album.   I didn’t research this.  Just bought the deluxe package you referred to at my LRS the other day.
@tomic601 Find the spicy colors of the sunset in a Shiraz and you’ve done just fine.

….and speaking of good songwriting

Ok this new Rhino Deja vu is really good.  Best I’ve ever heard this music.  Spent a lot for one record and a bunch of see dees but wow glad to have this.
I really must mention this exceptional porchetta and Sonoma Chardonnay.   Probably calls for something Italian on the stereo but I’m not going to let it bother me tonight.
@j_husker,  Thanks for the recommendation.   Just what we like around here.

@grey9hound I like that band but probably not enough (yet) to by their records.   I read that their live shows are great.   Have a great time at the concert.  I haven’t been back to a live music venue yet.  Really missing that.
@nbkrebs, +1 on GAI. I agree - He writes beautiful music. Welcome to the thread.

Ha!  Was going to say that very thing except I thought of all the many children watching this thread and…..
Hey Jim. Glad you’re enjoying it.  Somewhat edgy at times, more than my customary want but for some reason I’m into it.   Interesting story too.

you are correct about the new Sara Jheroz record - it’s excellent.  Bass player is way cool.  Wonder why it was shelved for so long.
@big_greg, Hey friend, you probably know about the little independent record store in Vancouver, Everybody’s Music.  Anyway/eitherway, I was in there again Friday and filled a nice big bag of records.   They have more-than-fair priced used and the independent-only issues.  Many used right in my wheelhouse.  YMMV of course.

@boxer12, Hey Tim.  Do you know this band.  I like it when I’m in a certain musical frame of mind.   Apologies if I’ve already asked you this ….

Re: Chicago.   Has anyone heard Steven Wilson’s remix of Chicago II (Chicago)?
@tomic601

a crush on Joan and ordering all her vinyl off discogs……

Nice, but I like my Simon Rattle

This record is total ear candy.
I would also like to say that this Oregon grown Pinot Gris is the perfect compliment to this here moderately buttery Coho and an anodyne against this blistering heat.
Also, sauté the spinach in half butter, half olive oil with a few capers and a little garlic. Yes indeed and put the whole carton in.

…Ubu on vinyl. Pisses me off that all my old Ubu on vinyl ‘just disappeared’. Not sure how that happened.

Planned obsolescence…?   Spontaneous combustion…?  Your mom threw them out when you were away at summer camp…?
Steve, sorry if you’ve mentioned this already but which Add-Power plug ins do you use, EU2s?
Steve, Thanks! That is very useful information for me.
Last evening, I was getting readings as low as 54mV. It was the same this morning until businesses started up again. This is proof that listening at night does sound better.

This is exactly what I also know to be true, without a meter, I hear obvious improvements here beginning late evening, and during other more randomly occurring time periods. My feeling is that air conditioners are quite big culprits. Not just our own here. When I got my Hydra things improved some. But, I’m still going to keep on at attempts to further clean up my power supply.
Steve, Please share changes, details of placement.   What were your readings with the Shunyata(s) prior to adding the Puritan?
Did anyone get the recent Friday Music reissue of Chicago I (“Chicago Transit Authority”)?
@tomic601 , @slaw not to make you friends envious or anything, but when I read Steve’s review of the DBT/JI concert set the other night,  I only had to exert just enough energy to get over about a mile to my LRS that same evening. I am so dang lucky to have one of the best record stores anywhere this close to my house. Hope we can compare impressions on that box set soon.
@slaw That’s a significant set of records to add to your most excellent collection.   I’m interested in that label’s re-issues of The Meters’ albums.   Wondering if you’ve heard them.
What a great story-  that label.  An awful lot of commitment and love for records.
