Take It Easy Baby ... Eric Clapton.

@reubent

I just bought  a MoFi copy of I Robot and will be comparing it to my present mint original copy to see if any SQ difference can be heard.
Y,all pretty funny y,know.🤣🤣🤣

Try aligning the belts inside the Nakamichi!
Think I will take the mower any day!

Post traumatic stress relief coming up.

Ball .... Iron Butterfly.

Took 2 runs through the US cleaning but sounding nice now.
I am quite pleased with my new table but it is not in that league.
Garrard 401 in 40lb of birch and maple plinth with Micro Seiki ma505ls arm and swapping carts in and out to see which works best from my stable.
Still undecided on these MoFi 45rpm albums due to the price. Buy a good vintage cart for that money ... Lol
I seem to remember Nonoise saying he had a 401, be interesting to see what he runs for a cart.
You know me Slaw.......

Lol.

However I am pretty impressed with the Garrard 401. Just experimenting with carts right now.
The Scheu Analog SL sounds the best all round so far out of my collection.

I think may need look at carts seriously.
But giving this setup a good workout for now and liking what I hear.

Very different presentation to the Notts.
Greg.

I love that Helix album.
I picked it up maybe 4 weeks ago on vinyl.
Nice blast from the past.
No vinyl for me next week either, sunny Paris, Illinois.
And no it’s nothing remotely like Paris, France....lol

Found this in Goodwill about 4 days ago, looks and sounds like hardly ever played.

The River .... Bruce Springsteen.

On the 401.
Mall shopping with my daughter.
Trolling FYE while she is trying on clothes.
Found this and could not leave it at 50% off.

World On Fire ..... Slash feat Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators.

2xalbum in red .... Lol.

For those who not know Myles check out any Alter Bridge recording.
Before the Flood ... Bob Dylan/The Band.

God I HATE when they put side 1&4 on one record and then 2&3 on the other.
Whose bright idea was that anyway!
@bdp24

You are a regular musical rock n roll history encyclopedia!
Always great stuff and entertaining and illuminating!

Thank you
Poor way to go for that rodent Slaw.
Yuk!!

Pearl ..... Janis Joplin.

Had this on r2r which I have since sold all of that off so when I saw this had to buy as the SQ on reel was spectacular. This is none too shabby either.
Defenders of the Faith.... Judas Priest.
Original UK first pressing, looks and sounds like it has never been played.
@slaw .

I likely have you to thank for my altered record purchasing practices.
Sure I will still bargain bin dive at my LRS but when looking for something specific I have modified my criteria.

Now I look see if there was a MoFi or D2D or half speed master version first and go for that if possible.

I CAN hear the difference on my rig for sure.
Costs more but ultimately worth it!
Thank you for questioning my record purchasing actions in the past.
It's an English thing.
It's a heat setting on a stove, we never used degrees f settings like you have here on electric stoves.
It was nearly all natural gas in England.

I guess it's more an "in" joke that maybe only I get ... Lol
@slaw
I have to ask as you seem to have to flatten a lot of vinyl.
Are they to the point of being unplayable or just unacceptable to your high standards?

Out of all my collection I probably only had 5 albums that I deemed unplayable due to warpage.
This is when I then invented the FF ( Florida Flattener).

I already had an old table that I just used to clean vinyl on the platter and had a light bulb moment.

What if I placed a warped record on said platter and then placed  another inverted platter on top and place out in the Florida sun on gas mark 6 for a couple hours.

I have to say it worked a treat, after all just heat and pressure right?
I would agree entirely Slaw.
But as a freebie quick fix I am happy enough.
Of course if I end up getting more warped records as i buy I would have to reconsider the approach.
Greg
I see you are continuing with the Lemmy kick!

Might drag out my only Motorhead vinyl for a spin, Ace of Spades
Greg
Nope... " I don’t like Mondays " either!

Sir Bob Geldof at his finest!

Who would have thought that scruffy looking guy would turn out to be one of the greatest music humanitarian representatives to walk this earth!
