Journey to the Center of the Earth ... Rick Wakeman.

Actually one of the very first albums I ever bought, played to death and unfortunately it now shows.

Time to look for a newer copy methinks!
Unfortunately not much of Crack the Sky on Qobuz.
Must admit never heard of them,never mind heard them.

But I bet hardly anybody this side of the pond has heard much by Mostly Autumn? Great British prog rock/ Celtic rock group. Check out Heart Full of Sky as a good taster.

But will stream something later and see what I think.
@slaw

I love Sat morning, wife at work, volume set to stun!

Hell yeah indeed!
Some classic great cuts being played today, great stuff!

Unfortunately the morning ended all too soon ... Lol.

Spinning a few cassettes right now but thought this one was worth a mention.

Shock Treatment ... The Edgar Winter Group.
@reubent .

Love Teaser and the Firecat, have it on vinyl and R2R.

Try also Buddha and the Chocolate Box.

Scrolling back up looks like Teaser is on a roll here as Mwinkc played it just a day or so ago too.
@slaw

I did listen to the rolling thunder revue via streaming two nights ago.
It did not sound that great streamed either.
Sorry the vinyl is not much better by the sounds of it.
A real shame as I like a lot of the songs on it.
Boogie Brothers ... Savoy Brown.

Breaking in new Nagoaka MP 150 cart on my SOTA Moonbeam table.

Even though brand new sounds like a lot more detail than the old Grado Blue was dishing out.

Happy Fathers Day weekend to all fellow Audiophool fathers out there!
Interesting GK.
Are you by chance referring to the fact that Mr Richards is older than the hills already and is likely to outlive us all?
Time.... ELO.

Found this with a stash of others in a box I had in the garage loft.
Do not remember buying them, stashing them or playing them ever.

This getting old lark is funny!
Slaw

I only just saw your posts on my virtual system.

Answered best as I can my friend!
Just back from a horrid week in Dallas, factory was 110 degrees on a cool day ... Which are non existent in a Dallas summer.....

Just need unwind for a couple days before heading out again to Alabama , which is likely to be even worse......

Very Best of Dave Mason.
Start my day off with.

Wishbone Ash S/T.

Original Decca label.

Sweet recording.
@slaw .

You are so right!

Sat morning is all about me!

Wife at work, up at 6.45am, cup of coffee and straight to all that matters ... The music!

Second cup of coffee now and a real humdinger on the deck.

Atlanta Rhythm Section S/T.

Glorious, volume rising.🔉🔊
Oh Yes I Can ... David Crosby.

Experiment time, just fitted my Nagoaka MP150 to my Nottingham Spacedeck and very impressed.

Very detailed and not much down on the various MC carts I have been running.

Very dynamic, bit pronounced in the mids but not shouty at all.
bought the above lp really because it was recommended recently by @uberwaltz to another member. Thanks!
Only just caught up on this thread.
@slaw .

You are welcome my friend, glad you found it to your liking.

Great weekend coming up just "found" a new to me LRS and just had to buy a few goodies....
Not a night owl any longer, old age seen to that, need my beauty sleep.

Start the day off with.

New England ..... Wishbone Ash.

Pretty decent SQ on this one.
Nils Lofgren S/T.

Recent LRS purchase, first time heard this album, pretty darn good imho!
Earlier I played Foreigner by Cat Stevens.
Very impressed with the SQ. Like majority of his records it is very nicely done.

Now playing,

Point of Know Return ... Kansas
A weeks vacation in Maine starting today so no vinyl for a week.
Need the work break though so time to unwind and recharge.
Ciao!
Well so much for a long overdue vacation!
Thx. to Delta for not being able to organise a Piss up in a brewery our vacation to Maine was ruined!
So just going to drive to Wilmington, North Carolina tomorrow for 5 days instead.

So still spinning today.

Don't Look Back ... Boston.

Epic label.
Love Bomb .... The Tubes.

Much more like it.
NOS still sealed so first time ever played tonight..... Glorious very quiet virgin vinyl and well produced.

Oh.... Great song's too!
Emotions in Motion .... Billy Squier.

Great song's, poor SQ!
No bass, very compressed, hissy treble.
Can't see this getting played again....
Spirit responded to an email, taking a break from social media, all well
Good deal! 👍
Been experimenting with my carts today as the Scheu is due for a rest...lol.

On my third already but I did start near the bottom of the pile.

First up was Nagaoka mp150, ok but nothing to get excited about.
Second Astatic MF 100. Better but the bass was very one dimensional, thud, thud,thud.
Third is the Dynavector Karat 23ruby.
Much better, as it should be...lol.

I would say a bit more detailed than the Scheu but still does not have the dynamic slam and warmth that the Scheu does in my rig.
But it's staying on for a while so I can tweak the setup see if I can extract any more from it.
