Mott The Hoople / All the Young Dudes
1972 CBS

Produced by a Mott fan named David Bowie. Mick Ralphs’ “Ready For Love/After Lights”, nice!

Chris Stainton - Glen Turner / Tundra
1976 DECCA

Great record and SQ. Chris Stainton played keyboards on many of my favorite bands and artists recording’s back in the day.

@big_greg  - No idea why, but "Never Been Any Reason" has been playing in my head for the last two days.

@reubent Too funny Tom, me too!

Dire Straits / S-T
1978 Warner Bros.

Outstanding debut album, fabulous SQ. “Sultans Of Swing”, yeah, sure, great song but “Six Blade Knife”, whoa!

John Lennon / Mind Games
2004 MFSL half-speed master #00482, orig. 1973

Ace / No Strings
1977 Anchor

After releasing Ace’s third and last album, Paul Carrack moved on to Mike + The Mechanics and a solo career.

Ace / Time For Another
1975 Anchor

In the mood for some easy listening pop, going with Paul Carrack and Ace. Five-A-Side was probably their most successful (“How Long”), but I like this album best. Nice SQ on these LPs.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers / You’re Gonna Get It!
1979 Shelter/ABC

Ted Nugent / S-T
1975 CBS

Ted’s debut album. From the back cover: “Ted’s no-nonsense approach to the electric guitar—i.e. one guitar, eight Fender speaker cabinets and no toys in between to mess up the signal”… No kidding around here. “Queen Of The Forest”, nice finale.

Joni Mitchell / Blue
2015 Reprise RE, orig. 1971

An outstanding album and outstanding sound quality.

Carly Simon / No Secrets
1972 Electra

Great SQ and content. A long list of musicians, backup vocals by James Taylor, Bonnie Bramlett, Paul and Linda McCartney, Mick Jagger and others.

Bonnie Raitt / S-T
1971 Warner Bros.

Her debut album, recorded at an empty summer camp on Lake Minnetonka. A blues, folk rock flavor, really pleasant sound.

The Mahavishnu Orchestra with John McLaughlin  / The Inner Mounting Flame
1971 Columbia

Mahavishnu Orchestra / Birds Of Fire
1973 CBS

More John McLaughlin, psychedelic jazz fusion with some intensity. Nice sonics.

Miles Davis / A Tribute To Jack Johnson
2020 Columbia RE, orig. 1971

A fabulous album, with Herbie Hancock, John McLaughlin, Steve Grossman, Bill Cobham, Michael Henderson. Great SQ, performance to match.

@slaw You and I have similar tastes In music Bill.

I know, I’ve even been streaming The Mountain Goats 😎

The Jimi Hendrix Experience / Are You Experienced
2020 Analogue Productions RE, orig. 1967

Aerosmith / Get Your Wings
1974 CBS

Released nearly 50 years ago, this still blows me away.

Poco / Pickin’ Up The Pieces
1969 Epic

Great music, sonics, instrumental cut “Grand Junction”, love that!
Gatefold photo.

The Band / S-T
2019 Capitol 50th Anniversary 45rpm remaster, orig. 1969

Jethro Tull / Crest Of A Knave

Maybe a little more Tull…
