Tomic.
Yes I was tearing what's left of my hair out when I should have just stepped back and thought about it logically.
Tbh the solder job in the 5 pin din socket was pretty shabby all over once I looked into it.
All is grand now though!
Even the shower was not enough to help my singing voice ☹️☹️

Slaw
Be very interested in your thoughts on it as I was very impressed.
However if I buy it I might just have to have them ship to you so you can flatten it!
I guess I am one of those Heep die-hards, 😉😉.
I quite like the acoustically driven album..

But right now.

Avalon by Roxy Music.

After a good clean and resolder of my tonearm cable from last night's debacle.
Good thinking Slaw!
Finally.....
Trigger Hippy S/T.

Funtastic!!
Plays much better when it's flat!
👍👍
Bkeske
Sadly no, it was way after her untimely death.
Second incarnation mid to late 90,s.
I only " discovered" them about 3 months ago and unfortunately my copy was warped.
Slaw kindly made it not warped for me!
👍😇
And in the meantime I streamed Full Circle and Slaw bought both!
Bkeske.
+1 on the Fairport Convention.
Remember catching them live in England many years ago.
Every time I think about a new tone arm I look at how well engineered this Micro Seiki arm is and how well it works and think... nope not yet...lol.
Besides it just looks so right on the 401 and it’s plinth.
I am going to fess up now.....
I only bought the S/T because it was on sale in FYE at $9.97!!!
Then found it was warped and was tempted to take it right back but then started researching and streamed it and just WOAH!
Then found my old Technics sl-10 linear tracker could play it So was all good.
Then got it flattened and now VERY good.
Slaw
I totally missed that Greenbaum album In your list.
Does Spirit bring back memories....
The absolutely most played song at every disco in England through the 70,s period!
If the floor was a bit quiet all any dj had to do was play Spirit and dance macabre ensued.
I will have to play the whole album to see what I think.
Nice find.
The very nice post lady just dropped off a present for me.

Grateful Dead S/T 180g mono reissue.

Will be up next!
Noromance
Nice problem to have... “ leftover” 12” Jelco arms.... 😂
@slaw

I am sure you probably own just about anything I have in my meager collection.

Lol.
Just got in brand new never opened box set of Bob Dylan mono recordings.
Set of 9 albums total at a stunning price from a seller in Canada who listed it at low starting price and no reserve.
Shockingly I was the only bidder and got at opening bid even though I had seen these sets pre owned selling for a lot more during auction on ebay.
Some will be up next after a quick clean of the records.
Well I did spend $57 on records but I also got 18 for that as they had tons of very nice shape albums at $3 a pop.
A good day, well apart from they don't fit in the disc drive of my laptop, I mean really!!
@slaw .

Love Hole and Celebrity Skin is much better than Pretty on the Inside which i found to be rather harsh.

Nobody's daughter is pretty good too imho.
Yes Slaw.
Forgot about that but I do not have on vinyl, streaming from Tidal only.
Seven The Hard Way ... Pat Benatar.

Love Pat but this album is a really bad recording, very bright and overblown.
Shame.
Thanks guys.
Im really looking forward to them.
Going to spin some tonight when I’m Nice and relaxed.
Up now.

Firefly ...... Uriah Heep.
Noromance.
Is the tonearm a stock item or did they custom build it for you.
Looks mighty impressive from the pictures.
i really like the straight through wand.
Just mounted my Ortofon 2M mono cart on my heavily modded Rega Planar 2 and even with a quick eyeball setup tracking at 1.825g it sounds heavenly on The Freewheeling Bob Dylan from my mono box set.
very very happy with this mono setup.
Mono is different...... A whole new level of detail and presence.
Of course I think these Dylan mono records have a lot to do with it.

A whole lot of Shunyata conditioning going on Slaw.
On your findings I broke down and bought a Hydra 8, Hydra2 and a Diamondback power cord.
Have to sit down and figure best way to configure everything when they arrive.
Slaw
it seems most Shunyata pc hold their value really well, there really is no such thing as a cheap shunyata pc no matter what model.
Struck a good deal with the Hydra 2 and diamondback, where the pc was basically free. Hard to pass over... lol.

Be interesting to see if it surpasses my home brewed pc.
Daylight Again .... CSN.

Vette..... I passed on that notion.... growing up...it’s overrated......
@reubent

I would tend to agree on later Rush period until I listened to Snakes & Arrows.
This has a lot more life to it than test for echo or vapour trails.
Imho of course
Happy New Year to you too Slaw!

And everyone else out there in the Gon world as well!
I will third the Zebra s/t album, picked it up a while back in our LRS in mint shape for peanuts.
Very overlooked band at the time.
 exactly guys on full circle!
its just FUN
And you can tell they are having fun.
its just a full boogie toe tapping dynamic funfest....
can I use the word fun again.....lmao
Humble Pie live at The Filmore.

Looking forward to lots of great vinyl in 2019 both old and new.

This was another of my $1 buys, I mean seriously?
@justmetoo.
I think it was just the timing of that Supertramp release. Vinyl as a sales medium was considered dead ( funny how that has turned out..lol) in that time period.
Remember it was the age of " perfect sound forever!".
Eat The Elephant ... A Perfect Circle.

2x180g.

As far as the SQ goes all I can say is WOW!
