what would be a good mat for a VPI SCOUT JWM9

do i need a mat,and if yes which one, for the VPI SCOUT .thanks in advance for the help.pat

I have a scout master with acrylic platter. using Pro Jet Cork mat on it and reduce the resolution, lessen 3D imaging , more fuzzy,... don't use any!
