What's the "worst" cdp for the money?

my Sony 9000ES, players costing 1/3 (when it was new) were more musical to me,
I have heard Naim at a few occasions and must agree very uninvolving, unmusical unless player

unless you like metal, rap
and similar loudly crap :)
