What pre-amp to drive MC 240?

Just bought a MC 240. Using a MA 5100 as a pre-amp. Have been told that this is not the best way to utilize this amp. Am somewhat of a novice in tube equipt. Any suggestion on model of MC tube pre-amp which I should try to acquire to drive the MC 240? thanks..........
