What MacIntosh Power Amps are suitable for a Guitar/Bass rig

Reading about Jerry Garcia's Mac Power Amp  (MC 2300) selling for I think $378,000, brought back the jones I've had for a long time about using a Mac Power Amp to power my bass rig (I have a Crown Amp now).  An Amp like Jerry's would cost about $3,500 or so on the used market.  The problem is that bad boy weighs 125 lbs.  Does anyone know of another Mac amp that could hold down a bass rig and weigh less?  Oh, the blue hue (Meters) are a must for me.
