What is the name of this song??

Hey folks, when I was young, I listened to this song from radio and six months ago I heard it from a high end dealer again. The song has this lyrics 'don't worry, be happy......' by a male vocal. Can anyone tell me the name and the singer of this song? Also, what is the best audiophile recording CD that contains this song? I appreciate all the feedback.
lec1989
I recently purchased a novelty item (a motion sensitive, battery operated fake-fish with animated lips mounted on a faux-wooden plaque) that sings a short version of this song. It is not hifi but it is fun, if you really like the song. They are sold at drug and dime stores. I shipped mine to my father, it drove our cats Kookoo.
Please tell me you don't want to buy this song! Ranks right up there with "disco duck" as dumbest top 40 song of all time.....
A VERY GOOD VERSION RECORDING WISE OF THE BOBBY mCfERRIN SONG DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY IS AVAILABLE ON THE SOUNDTRCK TO THE MOVIE COCKTAIL
bobby mcferrin is with the st. paul (as in minnesota) chamber orchestra, not the SF symphony. check out bobbymcferrin.com for anything u might care 2 know about him, his music, etc.
Yes, This is Bobby McFerrin doing his acapella song routine which originally rec'd attention in a routine he did for Levi's 501 jeans in the early 80's. I forget the name of the CD, but it come out in the mid 80's. Interestingly enough, they had a VH-1 "Where are they now" special on him and it appears he is currently working as a conductor for the San Fran Symphony Orchestra. Apparently, he is doing quite well at it and is extremely well liked by all he works with. A truly nice guy who has done countless work helping "disadvantaged youths" get starts in music. Sadly, that song remains solidly as his most recognized workpiece, although he has done some really fascinating work, both before and after his Mid 80's stardom. He has been quoted as saying he wished that song was never done, as it overshadowed his other work that he would much rather be remembered for.
the artist is Bobby Mcferrin...spelling is probably wrong, but, go to www.cduniverse.com and submit artist or song title....
If you will visit "All Music Guide" @ http://allmusic.com/ You can put in the title of any song IE:'don't worry, be happy......'
