What is correct buffer size in iTunes?

I'm going to save my cd collection to my computer HD using iTunes in Apple lossless format. iTunes gives me the choice of 3 buffer sizes - small, medium and large. Does it matter which buffer size I select? Of course, I want to maximize sound quality? HD is one terabyte, so space is not an issue.
