What does metal oxide sound like?

My Primaluna integrated amp is loaded to the hilt with metal oxide resistors. I can't help but think swapping them out for something like Vishay Dale metal film will be an improvement.

Does anyone know if metal oxide has a sonic signature ... warm, cold, bright, dark, etc,?

I've built guitar amps in the past and can clearly hear the difference between carbon film, and metal film ... but I haven't experimented with metal oxide.
