KEF CANTATA'S (B139'S GREAT BASS AND PACE THAT WAS ALWAYS MISSING IN THE DQ-10'S) REPLACED THE KEF'S AFTER 10 YEARS WITH VANDERSTEEN 2CE'S STILL IN USE TODAY. BUT I AM LOOKING FOR A PAIR OF DQ-10'S!
I owned a pair of DQ-10's from 1978 until they were damaged in the Northridge earthquake of January 1994. I replaced them with the Thiel 3.6's, which I still have ... wonderful speakers!
Loved these speakers. Had them modded with ribbon tweeters. Got them for college graduation and my graduation into the audiophile world (from Bose 901's!). Moved to Acoustat 2+2's. Today I have my ultimate - Wilson X-1's.
