What did I do??

Today I sold a pair of Wilson Sophia Speakers.

I ordered a pair of Tekton Design Moab Speakers.

Am I going to be disappointed?

Well my limited experience with Tekton was positive but not really anything revelatory. Sound exactly like the sum of their parts. Owner/designer of Tekton seems like a tool.

I used to hate WIlsons but think the newer models sound much better. A great deal has to do with which tweeter were in your Wilsons and what you feed them.

The Tektons will be much easier to drive. Hope you made a positive move but I have never bought a speaker without extended listening first. As a dealer a I am finding it very difficult to choose a speaker line.
Testimonials on site such as this are worth exactly what is paid. Just as likely to encounter shills on chatrooms as you are corrupt/confused/inept reviewers. The more information quickly available the less valuable the information.
The older Wilson tweeter was an abomination to my ears. They were only palatable with tube amps and even then they hurt after a time.

I think it worth mentioning that the newer Wilsons are not using the older tweeter. I believe, at least on the less expensive models, they are using a silk dome.
