Hello, this may be off target, but thought I would share my experience. I owned the Levinson 39 and also have owned high end Audio Research, Oppo, Classe and other CD players. The 39 to me was not pleasant to listen to for any length of time,...perhaps listener fatigue. At that time I was using Magnepan 20, CJ ART per, Classe power amp and all Wireworld Eclipse wires. Just my personal experience, but thought I would share. Best of success in your journey.
