What are you streaming tonight?

As we are in the modern age of music I thought I would see how this fares.
We have threads specific for cdp and tt so why not streaming as it is a modern media.
I don't care if you stream Tidal, Deezer, Spotify, Paradise Radio or any number of internet stations.
I would like you to share your tastes and method of streaming.

On the way to Alaska this week so will be a lot of streaming of Tidal via my phone for this week.

Classic rock playlist for now at MSP airport.
Consent to Treatment ... Blue October.

Tidal in the rental car via my phone.
Gotta love tech!
Ovinewar.
Yes you can download albums to your device, phone or iPad etc.
Don't remember exactly the buttons but there is an option to download for offline usage.

Tidal interface is not the best, maybe give Qobuz a trial.
Myself and a lot of members here use it and prefer it to Tidal.
And you get full hires without monkeying around with mqa.
You really do need a strong internet signal to get the best out of streaming.
One reason I ran a 75 ft cat7 cable all the way from the router in my upper bedroom down to my music room to an unmanaged switch so to have best chance possible of zero dropouts.

Only units I have on WiFi are my google chromecast ones and out of those 3 just 1 suffers occasional dropouts.
I suspect it is faulty as it is the one in the same room as the router!
lol.
Well, the nice thing is, I’ve found with many high cost older LP’s, you can often find a cassette version in highly rated condition at a fraction of the cost.
It’s nice to have a tape deck 👍🏼
Totally agree.
Apple by Mother Love Bone was getting near $100 on vinyl or more for NM. Mint cassette still sealed was $14.
Not sure as all agree it is nice to have a tape deck though...lol.
Agree on the streaming. Low cost exploration. I just listened to Device recommended by uber. I would not have bought the album if I ran across it, but enjoyed it.
Exactly one of the beauties of streaming imho.
I think I have like 1400 albums saved under my Qobuz favourites and I daresay I would not consider buying 10% of them.
For $15 a month for hires quality Qobuz it is a no brainer.

Glad to hear things are looking up a bit 16f4, hopefully insurance covers most of that damage but still a royal pain to work through it.

We had hurricane damage couple years back which meant a new roof but oh boy dealing with the insurance companies was frustrating to say the least! Nickel and dime every aspect!
Wackerman.... For real??

Makes me think of Joe Strummer from the Clash!

Tonight.

Thanks for everything ... Third Eye Blind.

Tidal
I am still struggling with TIDAL/ROON with regards to unacceptable dynamic range compression which results in clipping distortion on my system.
It is not on every stream-for example Steely Dan Gaucho is distortion free , as are Norah Jones albums. but Christopher Cross debut album -as good as it is , has significant distortion . Beach Boys - Pet Sounds , how could distortion be on this iconic album ? But it is.
It is driving me nuts!
I have read that it may be resonance from the amplifier fuses at a specific frequency .
So I am sourcing after market fuses and will install and hope that is the solution.
That is err mind blowing and something I have never heard of before.

Have you posted this problem as a thread in say the Digital or Tech Talk forums? Before jumping to possible expensive non solutions?
There are a lot of smart people on these forums!
Finally getting round to Ghosthouse recommendation.

Bring it on Home .. Joan Osborne

First track , cover of I don't Need no Doctor, sorry but just brought a vision of Blackie Lawless from Wasp hashing it out. Funny my mind!

Just started on the A New Day Now by Joe Bonamassa on Qobuz hires and so far it is awesome sauce indeed!
Another to add to my must buy list!
And the point is?
I have 2 turntables, 3 cassette decks, 2 CD players and music server......

Good Night!
Under Cover ... Motorhead.

Great collection of classic rock covers by Lemmy and the boys.
RIP Lemmy.
