want to upgrade from MIMIK II to......

hello,everybody,i have a question about upgrading my cd player but i don;t know too much about audio... and now i have a tube amp vt-62 playing with linn mimik II cd player and if i buy a Wadia 22 CD Transport and Wadia 12 DAC, will it be kind of upgrade? cas i am thinking to spend about 1200 to buy a better cd player, (i don;t mind a used one) Is there any better cd player or dac which i can get?
