Wadia GNSC

I have to start a new thread here as I am looking for any feedback possible on a comparison they might have done on a Wadia 850 with GNSC mods and a Wadia 861se - no mods. I may be nearing end of life on my current player so I am trying to sort through how much I wish to invest in a player/transport strategy vs a newer medium of Streamer. I have several thousand CD’s, or, I wouldn’t bother as I am a vinyl guy. Ultimately, I will pick up a streamer. But I am in absolutely no hurry.

I use a HotRodded Thorens TD124 for vinyl, I have a tube system with my pre being a VAC Signature Renaissance (2box) and RedRose mono block amps into A high end set of Marten floor-standers with a pair of Marten subs. I plan on running my player, as I do today through my VAC. I’m

Any suggestions on the Wadia GNSC vs. Wadia 861SE experience would be of great appreciation.

Hello,

The Wadia 850 with GNSC mods and the Wadia 861se without mods are both high-quality CD players from Wadia. The GNSC mods on the Wadia 850 are aftermarket modifications that may enhance its performance. It's difficult to provide specific feedback on the comparison without more detailed information or personal experiences from users who have compared the two models. Ultimately, the decision between investing in a player/transport strategy or a newer streamer depends on your preferences and priorities.

Wadia are as dead as the dodo and their spares are almost extinct.

I've still got a GNSC Wadia 781i.

Before buying any CD/SACD player make sure that spare drives and lasers are available.

Even better rip all your CDs to a server/streamer.
