Wadia Display Repair

The display on my Wadia 151 will sometimes work properly, and other times display gibberish or nothing at all. The unit works great. Wade says the repair will be very expensive, so since it's more of a nuisance and the unit works fine, I will not send it in. Any alternative suggestions? Thanks.
