Wadia 381i or S7i - use of hard disc data

Hi all,

I have a Wadia 381i GNSC mod and I love it. Now I think about using music data from a hard disk. The Wadia USB in the 381i or S7i is no asynchronus USB. Therefore I am looking for advice of experienced members what the optimal solutions are. So what is in your experience the best way to transfer music data from a hard disc to the Wadia 381i? Are there any high end adapters necessary/helpful to optimize data transfer rates and sound etc?
