VPI - HR-X or a SME 20/2A

Hi

I am new to analog, and would like any help in either of the 2 products. Suggestions welcome please be experienced.

I have all Atma-Shere gear - MP1 with Jenson upgrade and the MA1.3 mono's
I usually listen to classical 75%/Jazz 15%/Rock 10%

I haven't heard VPI's latest flagship, but every other VPI I've heard is a bit syrupy. If I were to play a bunch of 70's and 80' pop it's what I'd buy.
