VPI Classic Platter

Has anyone compared the classic aluminum platter to the super platter on a Superscoutmaster?

Any one remember this and does it still hold true?
mred Details Discussions Posts This discussion Message User 88 posts 04-11-2010 at 02:43pm Copy Comment URL Report Comment Edit Delete The point of my question was to try and get a feel for whether the relative merits of the "Super" vs. the "Classic" would be clearcut enough to prompt someone (like myself,who owns a "Super" on a Super scoutmaster) to unequivocally prefer one to the other.I'm sure the answer - like many in Audio - is a resounding "it depends" but I was hoping to prompt some meaningful dialogue.
