VPI Classic 3 vs Basis 2200

Hi,

I currently have a classic 3 with a Dynavector XV1-S, which I'm enjoying but am also open to an upgrade. I was told that the Basis 2200 is a huge step up. Any insights and opinions based on direct experience will be really appreciated.

Cheers

Thanks again everyone. I'm selling off a VPI Classic 3 with a JMW 12.7 arm to finance this and just got a trade offer for a new BENZ LP-S. Any opinions on how the Vector 4 might pair with the Benz?
Thank you all for your responses. Seems like the Basis is coming out on top.
Next question is: if you had to choose between a Basis 2200 Signature with base, or a 2500 with a Grahm 2.2?
Thanks
Thanks again everyone. Any opinions on the Synchro-Wave Power Supply? I spoke with A.J., seems like a really great guy, and he feels that it's a very big plus.
Thank you all again for your thoughtful and insightful feedback. I've purchased the 2200 with a Vector 4 tonearm, isolator base and cable isolation system. I'm buying used so it's being sent to Basis to have them do a once over before I get to hear it and I'm very much looking forward to hearing what it can do.
I have a Dynavecto XV1 s that I'm hoping will pair well with the arm, otherwise I'll be out here in a few weeks asking for more advice :)
Table is on its way to Basis for a once over before I take possession. Totally worth the wait to know that everything is just right. Just hoping my current TT sells to offset the cost :)
