Volumio Rivo

Does anyone have any first hand experience with the Volumio Rivo streamer? I'm in the market for a streamer without a dac in the 1k price range, so this seems to fit the bill. However, I've been the reviews are conflicting in terms of value, reliability and customer support. 

It would be used with a Musician Pegasus dac, A-S1200 Yamaha, and Klipsch Cornwall IV speakers.

I don’t want to talk bad about a product, but if you only can use Wi-Fi then look somewhere else, I have so many problems with drop outs, the funny thing is that Roon sometimes sees the Rivo, but the Volumio can not see it?

Have not had chance to use it with cable yet.
