Volti audio upgrades for klipschorns
I bought a pair of Klipschorns in 1982' in 2018. I did a complete voting audio replacement. In addition to converting to tubes. The replacement was more than I could believe. I will not go back. the increase in quality was more than I could have believed. I would highly recommend this conversion.

The biggest issue with Klipsch is that they are charging absolutely absurd prices for cheaper parts. MDF is cheaper wood than good quality plywood. They literally doubled their prices even when corrected for inflation. This is typical corporate mentality, probably because of Voxx International. Nothing wrong with running a business, but after PWK passed, it just more business oriented. Take a Crites Cornscala for example. They use better components like Apple ply for the cabinets with bracing and only charge about 3k. Klipsch charges more than double for a Cornwall IV and use much cheaper parts, not to mention in bulk which cuts costs even further. To make matters worse, they just triple downed and raised their prices again. Volti uses excellent quality components and yes they charge more, but in my opinion, you get genuine quality parts. Same thing with Shinjitsu Audio who also uses excellent components. Klipsch is mostly a marketing company now. |
