Vogue Audio 7N OCC silver cables

I have a complete loom of the Lavricables Grand series (5N Silver) (power cable, speaker cables, RCA and XLR interconnects). Very lightweight and extremely flexible, I like them and they sound very good. I purchased the same complete loom of Vogue Audio 7N OCC silver cables (OCC copper; "Our Silver Strand Ultra™ cable line features ultrapure 7N OCC silver singular multicore bonded conductors housed in Chemfluor® Teflon lossless air-cores".) I put the Vogue cables on my cable burner for one week and then into my system, by day two in my system they had settled in and to my surprise, they sounded just as good as the Lavricables Grand series. One can’t go wrong with either brand of cabling. My only criticism of the Vogue cables is they are a bit on the stiff side.

I know this thread may be somewhat stale, but I wanted to share my $0.02:

I have been contemplating replacing / upgrading my Morrow MA4 XLR interconnects (2 pairs, between DAC and pre-pro, and between pre-pro to power amp).  I finally took advantage of Vogue Audio’s 50% off deal and ordered 2 pairs of their Silver Strand Signature XLR interconnects.  With the savings, these cost roughly twice as much as the MA4 but still several $100s less than the MA7 (which was my original target for replacing the MA4).  The Vogue Audio XLR cables just arrived and I got them hooked up (dac > pre-pro, pre-pro > amp).  In conversations with Tom, the owner, he recommended I let them burn in for about 200 hours for them to reach the optimal sonic results.

Initial observation:  The sound profile is very good right off the bat.  No glare or smearing of music.  Very minor, if any, impact to noise floor.  There is great detail in each track.  There is more perceived volume in each instrument and notes, both mids and bass (vs MA4).  The sound stage seems a bit more collapsed (flatter, less 3D / holographic) but I expect that to be alleviated as time goes by and cables get closer to the 200 hr mark.  So far, so good!

Quick update:

It’s been a few months since I installed the vogueaudio silver strands xlr cables in my system (between su-10 dac and xmc-2 preamp, and between xmc-2 and xpa-7 amp).  After well over 1,000 hours in, I still felt I was missing detail, 3-dimensionality, and holographic representation of the original recording.  So I started researching some potential component upgrades.  
 

Initially, I started leaning to replacing my su-10 with the Gustard x30.  I wanted to have a second opinion and solicited chat gpt.  The response I got was far from what I would have expected.  

Instead of upgrading the digital front end, chat gpt suggested I look into upgrading my analog interconnect xlr cables.  I asked for a top 5 list of xlr cables with silver core cabling, cost notwithstanding, that would be optimal for existing system components from a synergistic standpoint.  At the top was a cable from a company, I had never heard of until now:  Darwin Enlightenment.

I got in touch with Bill, one of the founders, and I purchased a pair of the Enlightenment Extreme xlr cables.

At the time of writing, I’m about 30 hours in.  The enlightenment cables have replaced the vogueaudio between the dac and preamp.  The Morrow MA4 were recommended over the vogueaudio between preamp and amp by chat gpt for my system, so I have the ma4 between preamp and amp.

For starters, the enlightenment cables are extremely “revealing”.  Perhaps referring to this phenomenon as “unveiling” may be more appropriate.  It was almost like a veil had been removed to let out more of the details (if not all) in the source recording.

For transparency, I had to dial back the nyquist % and stopband attenuation in audirvana (from when I had the ma4 and vogueaudio double pairs in the system) to tame the super resolution.
