VAC Phi Beta vs Atma-sphere MP1 Preamp

I was wondering if any of my fellow audiophiles have experience with both the new VAC Phi Beta/or older Phi 2.0 which is similar sonically vs the Atma-Sphere MP1 mkIII.
I have heard both in the context of different show systems, but I have not had an opportunity for direct comparison. (I'll be looking for a dealer who sells both VAC and Atma-sphere)

I will eventually audition both, but I am looking for helpful comparisons, or thoughts in general about excellent transformer coupled output preamps (Phi Beta) vs Atma-sphere direct coupled output (non capacitor and, of course, non-trnasformer)
